Disadvantaged pupils deserve the very best outcomes -nobody disputes that. But schools are increasingly being held solely accountable for closing gaps driven by attendance crises, SEND pressures, mental health needs and social disadvantage that sit largely outside school control

@Samstricko181 I have been teaching 34 years. The pressure has always been there. Just in different guises.

People who taught 10/15/20/25 years ago or more cared as much as they do today & were under significant pressure. The difference is the pressures are time contextual.
