It's 4am I finally got the Claude Code CLI at least to control an isolated macmini. So far I attempted to 1) close a notification and 2) enter text into terminal and it cannot do either. The future is here.

@rezoundous I try to spin up just 1/3 of the products I work with and my computer turns into a jet engine on build. With 64GB. If I don't pay attention to whats going on I can have 32GB swap just churning my CPUs. Of course doesn't help that I have 300 tabs open.

Omg, now I remember why I don't do X. Just like with crypto all those bots (or otherwise idle hands) are replying to you with spam if you even whisper something about AI.

Even as a dev while using Claude to code, it has never on its own pointed out any security flaw on my code

@_abheygupta @davepl1968 But Claude Code in cli is just fine (well as fine as it could be. it goes in and out of being lobotomized for me)

@_abheygupta @davepl1968 I just tried Claude Desktop to see if it's something else and it's useless in the same way. It might be claude doing it to hermes.

OK, I installed OpenCLAW.
I set it up with a backend AI server on a Dell 7875 workstation with dual Blackwell RTX6000 GPUs running DeepSeek R1 32B. And it can fall down to Qwen 2.5 for easy stuff.
I created an agent to scour eBay for things I might be interested in, compile a summary, and mail it to myself.
But I could have done that in shell script... so... what now? What are folks doing with it that's interesting? What are you having your agents do?

@_abheygupta @davepl1968 How much setup is required. I gave it a go super vanilla just to see if it could modify itself as we went and it's turned into mush. Stopped making tool calls and just sucks ass.

No matter what I do, just chasing its tail. Maybe using the OpenWebUI interface was a bad idea.

I can't manage to get Hermes Agent to stop just making up results. It's just spitting out real sounding things but never making tool calls. (yesterday it made all the tool calls immediately). Now I can have 5 back and forth saying "you are not doing any tool calls) and yet.

Anyone else overwhelmed trying to use Claude features knowing I'm a few weeks they'll release something that makes that feature obsolete. It's very hard to make a food dev environment with so many moving pieces and configurations to update constantly.

I just bought a used 1 yen ($0.01) wine cooler to put my mini pc setup in. It's leaking coolant but I was going to empty that anyway. It's not like I want to humidify my pc. 🤣 You read that right $0.01.
