Sat down with a liquid billionaire yesterday. His best advice for every business owner: Hire a “send and delete” person. You fire off the request → immediately delete the task from your brain. They handle it. No follow-ups. No mental overhead. Once you hit send, you consider it done. If you ever have to remind them? They’re not an asset; they’re slowing you down and stealing your bandwidth. Fire and move on as quickly as possible. This one hire changed how he scales everything. Hope this helps anyone who needs it!

@zeitgeist_labs Spot on post. I did similar analysis and arrived to the same conclusion a while back. I’ve been rewarded well so far. The only thing the post is missing is lifetime of memory (3-4 years).

@rubicon59 High Bandwidth Memory is ~45% of the cost of an Nvidia B200 GPU. The extra torque is a leading indicator of how scarce this resource is.

Asymptotically, this may be correct, but the y-axis is off. The difference between GPT-3 and GPT-4o was tremendous. Opus-4.5 was the first coding model that could autonomously handle complex tasks and has changed the software engineering profession in <6 months. I expect at least 2-3 more step functions in model classes that humans notice/feel even if progress is on an S-shaped curve.

AI scaling is not exponential. It never was. I fit a logistic model to general capability vs compute across every major model generation — AlexNet to GPT-4. R² = 0.98. The asymptote is not infinity. Never was or will be. Thread 🧵
