Dad life comes with a lot of challenges.
Weight gain, sleep problems, low energy, and no gym.
Luckily for you i’ve got the solutions.
Weight gain: You’re not a garbage disposal so don’t act like one. Also no snacks between meals, and ESPECIALLY before bed.
Sleep problems: You need a bedtime routine, just like your kids. I like the Bible and blue light blockers.
Low Energy: Consistent fuel and hydration is key here, plus making sure you’re absorbing all your nutrients.
No Gym: You can get a lot done with body weight, and if you can investing in a little at home gym equipment goes a longgg way.

These calls potentially still happen. Human error is inevitable. But the more time someone has to devote to their "craft" I think the better they'll be.
My point is, with so much at stake, why wouldn't you want them only devoted to umpiring? Why, in a billion dollar industry wouldn't you WANT a key element fully invested.
Plus as a full time position it's more appealing and you get better talent applying in the first place.

Fastest way to get rid of a family illness?
Clean!
Of course also sleep, and nutrients and all that other good stuff but cleaning is so underrated.
Plus too often it gets put all on the wife.
