@JoeyMorganNQ solid system. curious which firm you're pulling from weekly some have 7-day payout cycles (tradeify topstep) and others make you wait 14-30. that gap matters a lot when you're actually trying to treat it like income

I take weekly payouts out of my personal account. If you haven't started one from your prop firm payouts, you should. Weekly income as long as I am green on the week.

the "no overnight holds" rule sounds clean until you're in a 20pt $ES winner at 3:45pm cst and you have to decide between taking 60% of what it could be or watching it expire. apex 4.0 made that a hard rule. some strategies just don't survive the cutoff

topstep dropping from 100% to 90/10 on the first $10k mid-january hurt more than people admitted. that was the main selling point for small accounts. now the math looks a lot more like every other firm and the platform reliability issues are still a conversation

@lsptvofficial rough sessions happen. the real prop firm test is whether you sized down or kept normal size into garbage price action. most blown evals aren't bad reads, they're correct reads with too much size on a day the market had no follow through

consistency rules are the silent killer of apex evals. traders obsess over drawdown and blow right past the 50% cap. one clean 200pt $NQ day early in the eval and now every other day needs to look like that. the math sneaks up on you

the thing nobody tells you about trailing drawdown accounts is that your best day can become your worst enemy. hit $1200 profit on a 50k mff account and now your floor moved up $1200. winning too fast is a real way to fail an eval

@DamnGoodTrading the 50k pa at $69 is genuinely hard to argue with if you're already familiar wiht apex 4.0 rules. just go in knowing the 50% consistency rule. one outlier day shapes your whole eval whether you want it to or not

@dontbsalti no context on the link but if thsi is another firm changing payout terms mid-cycle, that's becoming the norm not the exception. topstep cut the 100% split in january with like a week of notice. always assume the rules can shift

apex 4.0 removing mae felt like a big win until you realize the 50% consistency rule can still wreck you. run one 300pt $NQ day in a 10-day eval and suddenly every other day needs to match it. the drawdown fix and the consistency trap came in the same update

@edgeful the ib is useful but context matters. a clean ib high on $NQ means something different at 9:45 vs 11:30. the auto-draw saves time, sure. still need to know what you're doing with it once price gets there

@DamnGoodTrading traderslaunch has that soft breach reset option on some accounts right? might be worth checking before you write them off. losing the streak hurts more than the capital honestly. that psychological reset is the real cost of a dll day
