buybacks work well at the early stage — during the first 5–6 months — because they give the community confidence and help kick-start the flywheel, as was the case with Hyperliquid
however, buybacks start to work poorly once the project’s valuation becomes excessively high and they no longer have a meaningful impact on price, which is what we’re seeing with Hyperliquid now
The goal of any team is to spend profits as efficiently as possible, not as straightforwardly as possible

@bitcoinduke I think the hype holders will be caught off guard when the buybacks are turned off. There are about 3–4 months left until CT realizes that buybacks are useless in the long term

Urgent Update on Accumulation
The current accumulation strategy has proven too powerful—allowing users to just sit back and do nothing while farming massively. That's totally unacceptable for a healthy, sustainable project.
I'm reworking it drastically to prioritize long-term growth.
If you've been using it—you're smart and farming well! 👏
First adjustments coming in the next update:
Accumulation capped at 3%
+0.1% increase from unclaimed rewards every hour
Accumulation bonus cannot exceed 10x your current distribution
Please understand these changes.
Share your thoughts or FUD—I'm listening—but I'll keep tweaking toward perfection and true sustainability.
You'll still have strong APY. You're very early, and long-term, nodes will bring far more profit than just holding tokens.
This isn't about passive over-farming; it's about building something balanced and lasting.
Thank you for your understanding. #⃣

What a manic day its been, but so grateful for everyone who has supported us on this journey so far. It's only the beginning but we're off to a great start.
The token launch wen't really well despite wider market conditions. Our community is the best and thank you to the @virtuals_io team for facilitating such a great launch and introducing us to their ecosystem.
Onwards we go.

Founder worship really rots brains. 860 likes on this says everything
Jeff can’t even name competitors — just passive-aggressive shots from the Hyperliquid account. Pure arrogance, borderline god complex

Fun fact (after scrapping some data) Over the last 365 days - Jeff has mentioned “lighter” or “lit” a total of zero times - Vlad has mentioned “Hyperliquid” or “hype” a total of 503 times (This includes interviews, replies and posts)

@zeror1sk Insane level of cope
I just put out some data, nothing more, nothing less
Regardless of your bags
Hyperliquid team set a new standard of how a team should behave. Incredible level of integrity and morals, in an industry lacking of both
You can only respect Jeff
English

@upndownsyndrome you’re right, but the Hyperliquid community’s toxicity is on another level
English

@zeror1sk It works both ways lol
Candle emojis also do founder worship before TGE
