Day 67: 2025 recap. I entered 2025 at portfolio ATHs, with the majority of my profits coming from trading new pairs on pumpfun. I was sidelined watching $TRUMP moon, got hit with a heavy migraine during the $MELANIA launch and missed that entirely and then FOMO’d into $LIBRA because of the previous two — losing $100K in under 30 minutes. After those three events, I completely lost my edge trading new pairs. By the time I fully acknowledged it, I had already bled ~50% of my portfolio over 3–4 months from stacking smaller losses. At that point, I knew something had to change. I went back to perps, the style of trading that originally got me into crypto. Adapting wasn’t instant, especially trading a much larger portfolio than when I first started, but once I adjusted, momentum came back and profitable months followed again. The second half of the year marked a real turnaround. I started printing consistently, reclaimed portfolio ATHs by the end of Q3 and Q4 ended up being my best quarter of the year. Alhamdullilah, finishing the year with a strong YoY APY after being down 50% at one point is something I’m genuinely grateful for. Day 52: The biggest enemy of a trader is ego. Too many traders would rather be right about a thesis than actually make money. That’s how ego quietly destroys your performance. You can have any bias you want: bullish, bearish, or married to a specific protocol but your job is to trade what’s in front of you. Being bullish doesn’t mean there are no valid shorts. Liking a protocol doesn’t mean its competitors can’t offer better opportunities. You see this everywhere lately: Hyperliquid bulls spending weeks fudding Lighter instead of trading and positioning for what could be the biggest airdrop of the year. Altcoin bulls buying every dip, waiting for “alt season” while ignoring clear resistance and structure. At the end of the day, you’re here to make money and change your life. No one cares whether your thesis was right, only your PnL does.

Day 44: Shortly after the day 43 tweet, some crazy shit went down with $MOODENG. I had a dozen alerts going off and I remembered MOODENG was listed on @extendedapp. I fullported whatever margin I had left in my Extended trading wallet and managed to realize ~55K USD PnL within minutes, being up nearly 100K USD at the top. The last epoch on Extended was pretty quiet for me since I was mainly focused on the Lighter competition, but this week I still managed to push ~9M in volume. Hopefully the next epoch cooks again. Right now I’m patiently waiting for good $BTC setups to re-enter new trades. Also keeping an eye on the BNB trenches. Still prefer it over sol and we’ve actually seen some decent runners these past few days.
