Digital Woman Uganda invite you to join us in celebrating a significant milestone achieved by out-of-school youths who have successfully completed 3 months training in Digital literacy, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention.

We were honored to participate in the Women’s Day celebration organized by the Queens Coding Initiative in Jinja. The event brought together passionate leaders, youths, innovators, and community champions committed to advancing opportunities for women and girls.

I have assumed fully my role as the Executive Director at Digital Woman Uganda. I am very grateful to all the people I have worked and interacted with. I hope for your continued support on this new journey @uganda_digital

@uganda_digital Do inclusive innovation such as including women in the design of techonologies/platform to include their needs and perspectives.

@uganda_digital Address social cultural barriers that prevent women from using digital tools. Raise awareness on online GBV and put in place policies that protect women from OGBV

@wougnet @commonwealthorg They need to build trust and establish good relationships with marginalized communities by conducting regular consultations and dialogues on issues affecting them, be transparent about policy making processes, respect cultural values and traditions.

As I approach my 40th birthday today, the symbolism of the number 40 takes on a deep personal meaning. In the Bible, 40 often represents a period of testing, preparation, and transformation. Just as Jesus spent 40 days in the wilderness facing trials, and Moses spent 40 days on Mount Sinai receiving divine instruction, my own journey so far feels like a preparation for the next phase of life—a time of reflection, growth, and renewal. The Israelites wandered the desert for 40 years before reaching the Promised Land, and this resonates with my journey of learning, mistakes, and perseverance. Each challenge faced, much like Elijah’s 40 days in the wilderness or the rain that fell for 40 days in Noah’s time, has shaped my path, bringing me to this milestone with a greater sense of purpose and clarity. Turning 40 feels like entering a new chapter of life, one that calls for more maturity and deeper love for those around me. It also signifies a time to lean more fully into faith, understanding that God uses these periods to refine and prepare us for greater things ahead. Stepping into this new decade, I embrace it as a time of transformation, knowing that each trial and test has been part of God’s plan to shape my character and purpose.
