It's not a question whether Corey Day will one day race full-time in the Cup Series, it's a question of when he'll make the jump. This was addressed in my Silly Season overview that published this week. nytimes.com/athletic/72745…

Dale dunking on dudes on twitter is my new favorite thing.
Come at Dale if you want. But you best not miss.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.@DaleJr
@freerollthetop @NASCARonReddit @jeff_gluck I won it 15 times and have a pretty solid understanding of how it works.

@daletanhardt Here’s why he may have some credibility to his opinion. Austin Hill is certainly not an athlete

As a diehard NASCAR (and sports in general) fan, here’s my Stephen A. Smith take
The success of most of these sports pundits (especially those on ESPN) is not to analyze sports properly—it’s to create relevance through rage and controversy. Clicks are the God they worship
I know this because like 20% of my existence on the internet is to troll. I understand it. And I gladly admit it. It’s fun as hell. But it’s like 80%-90% of these pundits’ existence in “sports” talk
So, I just don’t take Stephen A. Smith seriously on anything anymore. Those First Take days with him and Skip were elite, but it assisted in carving a path for him to say anything and everything for the nature of clicks and controversy—even if he has no knowledge of a particular topic.
That’s the way it is in 2026. Just try not to take the internet so seriously, people. People say & do anything for clicks. That’s Stephen A. today. And congrats to him. It’s working
Thanks for reading my #DaleTalk

@DirtyMoMedia @DanielKriete4 If he had any credibility before this, he doesn’t anymore. He repeated himself 6 times and never explained why he believes drivers shouldn’t be considered athletes
Not that it matters and no one asked in the first place

Bubba Wallace AI generated Facebook posts are about to be on another level.

Holy shit this is the worst interview ever. I hate this kid now. Sucks cookout is so good I’d never eat there again.
Luke@xLukeSmithx
“There’s a reason I’m in that car and not one of the other ones….” Yeah cause your daddy owns a cook out😭 What a loser mentality to display during an interview.

It's been 10 years since I've ran @DAYTONA, and I've never done it in a truck. Safe to say, I needed some practice. Thanks to @iRacing , I can do just that. Head over to my YouTube channel and go behind the scenes with me and my spotter, TJ Bell, as we prepare for my upcoming return to @NASCAR with @RamTrucks and @KauligRacing!
