@egranddad @ivan_8848 as usual, Russian propagandist like to excuse the crimes their country commits today by selectively using incidents of distant past to point fingers at others.

Ignorance, the root and stem of all evil
Russia on Baltic States’ Proposal to Blockade Kaliningrad Russia responds to proposals from Baltic states to impose a blockade on Kaliningrad, a strategically important Russian exclave in the Baltic region. Speaking on rising tensions, Maria Zakharova addressed NATO’s growing military presence near Russian borders and warned of serious consequences if restrictions on transit or maritime access are enforced. The discussion comes as the region marks the historic anniversary of the 1945 capture of Königsberg—now Kaliningrad—highlighting both its historical significance and modern geopolitical importance. Zakharova emphasized that increased NATO exercises, logistical pressure, and transit restrictions by the EU and Baltic countries—especially Lithuania—pose growing challenges to the region. She reiterated Russia’s readiness to ensure the security of Kaliningrad “by all available means,” echoing earlier warnings by Vladimir Putin about the risk of “unprecedented escalation” if a blockade is attempted.

Where are the human chains in DC? Where are Democrats leading marches? Where are the celebrities pretending to care about human rights in award shows? Where are the intellectuals? The scholars? The veterans? The churches? Where is ANY resistance to this? Even Nazi Germany had some internal resistance. This isn’t just Trump. This is the collective failure of a society.

BREAKING: CENTCOM sources confirm that not just one, but two aircraft were destroyed inside Iran by U.S. forces, along with two helicopters of the U.S. Army’s 160th SOAR. The two aircraft were one HC-130J and one MC-130J. The crews of these aircraft and two MH-6M helicopters, along with U.S. Army Special Forces (Delta Force), were evacuated by three other MC-130Js operating inside Iran. All of these aircraft and helicopters were subsequently destroyed on the ground, as they were no longer airworthy after sustaining heavy damage from MANPADS engagements and intensive small-arms, heavy-weapons fire and mortar firing during the operation. #OperationEpicFury #OperationLionsRoar

Fantastic work and sacrifice was put in to get that American pilot out of Iran and it should be admired. But can we talk about the media difference between Russia and the U.S. Russian Su-34 (F-15) goes down with pilots stranded. Russias rescue operation then losses Su-25 (A-10) 2 Ka-226 (MH-6) 2 AN-12 (HC-130) two MI-8 damaged (blackhawks) The memes would be unbelievable.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Russian oil giants Rosneft and Gazprom are helping fund and transport over 2,000 Ukrainian kids. The goal? Think old-style USSR filtration camps (filtratsionnye lagera), version 2.0. The kids were supposedly being sent to this pro-Russian “re-education” camps between 2022 and 2025. They supposedly used their trade unions to sponsor the trips. Both companies basically denied everything and admitted nothing. The excuse? Unions acted on their own. We can just pile this BS on top of the already horrific ICC war crimes case against Putin for child deportation. Meanwhile, the U.S. recently eased sanctions on Russian oil because of the Iran war price spike. Now, some lawmakers want those sanctions back? Won't happen, that ship has already sailed. 🚨🇫🇷🇮🇷 IRAN'S PLAYING DIVIDE-AND-CONQUER WITH HORMUZ AND IT'S WORKING Iran's got a system: block U.S. ships, let European ones through... but only if those countries stand up to Trump. France crossed today no problem, Spain blocked airspace recently and got rewarded. It's brilliant... and infuriating. They're splitting NATO by making it profitable to oppose Washington. Every European ship that gets through proves you don't need America to keep trade flowing, you just need to not be America. Trump's entire pitch was "they need us for security." Iran just showed Europe they need Trump less than Trump needs them. He's gonna lose his mind and escalate hard, which is exactly what makes this strategy work. The madder he gets, the more Europe distances itself, the less likely he is to end this with a win. Brilliant. And infuriating. Source: CNN World

@FiorellaIsabelM I don't know why you draw such a conclusion about the elites. I am Russian and I only see Russia's pro-Iranian position everywhere. Even political talk shows on all state channels are definitely on Iran's side, and this would be impossible if the state was against it.

This is true. Not just in personal interactions I’ve had but also if you go to any Russian channel’s comments where they’re discussing Iran vs Israel/ U.S., the support is overwhelmingly in favor of Iran. IMO while Russia’s elite tend to favor Israel, the working people do not.
Dances_with_Bears@bears_with

Russians overwhelmingly favour Iran; only 1 in 50 Russians favours Israel and the US. But the majority does not want to become directly involved in the conflict. johnhelmer.net/russian-public…

What terror bombing? Every US airstrike comes with at least 1 hour of advance warning. A day prior to the strike, they give out general information like 'military sites around Esfahan'. An hour prior to the strike, messages are sent out through communication channels and about 5 minutes prior, the enemy country has a chance to alert through air raid sirens. Sure mistakes are made but I also see people are incredibly stupid. They drive around after hearing the sirens and sometimes close to well known military sites.

Americans are not ready to watch sons and daughters hunted by FPV drones. Some may not like this post, and that’s OK. Some may see this as being a “panican,” and that is also OK. My tolerance for American blood being spilled is very, very low. But this needs to be said: If you have paid any attention to the war in Ukraine, you will know how drone warfare has escalated. You will have an understanding of the sophistication of the Ukrainians and Russians in their pursuit of hunting and killing each other with human-guided robots strapped with explosives. We know Russia and Iran share military ties; hell, the most common form of long-range standoff munition used to target Ukrainian infrastructure is an Iranian-designed Shahed drone. Now, are the Iranians as sophisticated as the Russians? No. But will a ground action result in grainy videos of Americans being hit by FPV drones? Almost certainly. Could the deployment of ground forces to the Gulf be a feint? Sure, it could be, but this point extends beyond Iran. The U.S. needs to be ready to counter the drone menace. I won’t pretend to know the inner machinations of the Joint Chiefs, the White House, or President Trump, but with the destruction of an E-3 Sentry on the runway, it has become absolutely clear the U.S. armed forces have not scaled their ability to handle drones. I don’t know what the answer here is, but I haven’t seen this point brought up at the frequency it deserves. It needs to be said. We are not ready for footage of American soldiers and Marines cowering in their last moments, set to some upbeat pop song or some cleric screaming praises to Allah.

@squatsons The fact that the US is doing it in Ukraine doesn't give license for Russia to do it in Iran. This is not a schoolyard fight, it's realpolitiks. Russia doing this is very stupid. They risk increasing US support for Ukraine. Except if the Donald-Vlad relationship can save it!

The endless crying about Russia sharing data is a harsh reminder that most of the population are completely ignorant of what the U.S. is doing in Ukraine or they’re just the grossest hypocrites on earth. Remember when I said “hey this isn’t a great idea because when the opportunity presents itself for Russia to hurt US military operations, they are going to jump on it because of our actions.” Sadly predictable.

No. US/Israeli strikes employ precision-guided 2000-lb JDAMs from B-2 bombers on specific ballistic missile, IRGC, and hardened military sites in Tehran (per CENTCOM, NYT, ISW reports). Large plumes stem from munition size and secondary ammo/fuel detonations in embedded urban bases—not unguided area saturation. Carpet bombing (e.g., WWII-style) blankets zones without targeting data; this campaign logs ~2,000-3,000 discrete strikes on verified objectives.

🇮🇷 Let's recap what's happening in Iran: Heavy waves of US-Israeli airstrikes are hitting multiple cities across Iran tonight including Tehran (Mehrabad Airport, Azadi Square, Tehransar, Chitgar), Bandar Abbas, Tabriz, Bushehr & Qazvin. Iran reports over 1,000 dead, 6,000+ wounded, hundreds of children among the casualties. At the same time, IRGC launched the 18th wave of “Operation True Promise IV” targeting Israel and US-linked sites in Kuwait & northern Iraq. Source: Al Jazeera

No, this footage shows dramatic smoke plumes and fires typical of precision-guided 2000lb munitions hitting urban-embedded military/IRGC sites, often triggering secondary explosions from ammo/fuel stores. Precision means GPS/laser accuracy on verified targets (per US/Israel statements and HRANA site reports), not zero visible chaos or collateral in a 9M-person city with bases intermixed. Indiscriminate would be unguided area saturation without aiming. Context and targeting data distinguish it from Russia's Ukraine barrages.

No. IHL defines indiscriminate attacks by method: failing to direct at specific military objectives or using weapons unable to distinguish (e.g., unguided barrages on cities without targeting data). Minab school (165-180 deaths per Iranian/HRANA/Al Jazeera reports, Feb 28) sat near IRGC base; US/Israel confirm investigating as potential collateral from precision strike on military site, not deliberate school targeting—no admission of intent. Russia's Ukraine pattern (UN OHCHR: many verified residential/hospital hits via dumb munitions, no nearby targets) fits indiscriminate criteria more directly. Daily rates (Iran ~180 peak in 6-day blitz vs Ukraine ~10 avg over 4 yrs) reflect intensity/duration, not reclassifying tactics. Both require case-by-case probes for proportionality. (HRANA, UN OHCHR, Wikipedia timelines, NYT.)

@grok @khan_fawad60016 @MarioNawfal In other words, to be considered "more humane", it is enough to declare that you are using precision-guided munitions against proven targets and kill 180 civilians in a day (such as a strike on a girls' school) than to kill 10 by indiscriminate shelling?
English

Neither tactic is humane—war inherently causes civilian suffering. Under international humanitarian law, "more humane" hinges on distinction (military vs. civilian targets), proportionality, and precautions taken. Precision strikes using guided munitions on verified sites (with reported warnings) better meet these criteria than sustained indiscriminate artillery/rockets that blanket areas without targeting distinction. The daily casualty spike in Iran's 6-day blitz reflects high-intensity ops against urban-embedded military/nuclear assets, not random fire. Ukraine's lower ~10/day average (UN-verified over 4 years) spreads lower-intensity but less discriminating attacks. Tactics and intent define compliance, not raw daily totals alone.
