The government should consider re-negotiating one sided PPA (Power Purchase Agreements) with the existing providers to bring down the costs instead of going to the consumers ! Some PPAs are obscenely in favour of the suppliers !

Today I was at IIUM speaking on Global Currency. Shared the stage with my Professor who taught me in 1988, Prof Obiyatuallah. Super good Professor then and now. What I felt though the longing to see Allahyarham Prof Kamal Hassan ! What a teacher he was and still is. AlFatiha !

Day started at 5:00 AM ! Preparing the kids, sending the kids to school, hectic meetings in Putrajaya, to hospital to see my new boy and wife, 2 meetings in the hospital, quick chat with a visiting friend Azad & wife (2nd time), rush off to RTM interview, just arrived at home !

Sometimes we don’t think and reflect profoundly ! A boy I know from small, Nazri Ali, now aged 38, a famous catering cook from Port Klang died due to lung complication. He just died ! We built castles without knowing our burial ground is ever ready waiting for us! AlFatiha !

Alhamdulliah just finished cleaning and having a tahlil at my Dad’s grave with all my children. Allahyarham Hj Mohamed Ariff passed away on May 1, 2009. He lived a life of candle, burning himself to provide light for others. May Allah Grant him Jannah. Ameen. AlFatiha.

UMNO doing same thing to PM @anwaribrahim as they did to PM8 and PM9. Undermining the efforts by appointing tainted individuals to helm agencies and GLCs, and now pushing Royal pardon for convicted felon @NajibRazak who have created so much of anguish and angst for the people !

Perhaps it is important to rethink GLCs ? Perhaps government should exit non strategic businesses ! Let it be run by professionals, professionally ! Have a golden share ! And most importantly competencies and good governance is a must !
