Zoe Ward Update: Due to swelling in the brain from the tumor. Zoe is having problems walking and staying upright. Her balance is off and it is very scary.Her sugar level is dropping & she is having many difficulties. Please pray for Zoe, her family & siblings. @DIPG cancer. 🙏✝️

To all of you, Throughout this journey, I have been encouraged, inspired, sustained, and tolerated not only by friends, family, and colleagues but by the most wonderful social media community anyone could ask for. Thank you. But, I am not well. 😮‍💨 As LGBTQ+ communities are being targeted with increasing levels of vitriol, intolerance, and violence across Canada, all encouraged by ignorant, attention seeking talking heads and their huge armies of bigoted troglodytes, I find it increasingly difficult to be my normal, positive self... to simply exist as me. But, I have it so much better than so many in our community and I refuse to step back and reduce myself to please the bigots who spew their verbal diarrhea online. I will continue to share my joy, my pain and sadness, my struggles and triumphs and I'll do so without shame, unapologetically and with all the visibility that my platform and my busy "real-life" will allow. I will continue to keep DMs open for those in the community who are on their own journeys. I will listen to and amplify the voices of others in marginalized communities. Hopefully, I will be able to do this with you, my friends and allies, at my side and doing the same. We have work to do. 🩷💕💜

I learned years ago that Christianity is always about helping others and controlling ourselves. When it becomes only about controlling others, then it absolutely ceases to be Christianity. Bible verses notwithstanding!
