@JoeyMannarinoUS You blokes are thick as 2 planks. Heres how trading works: America: We consume more beef than we produce. We need more beef. Australia: Here, you can buy some of ours, we produce more than we consume. In exchange, can we buy some of your cars? We don't produce any.

$26 Billion of Australian beef is sold in the United States every single year. We sell $0 in beef to Australia. NOT. A. SINGLE. DOLLAR. OF. BEEF. Even though Australia & the USA had a mutual agreement to buy eachother’s beef on the condition that 100% of the cattle were produce of that country. Of course, America buys the Australian beef. Australia doesn’t live up to their end. Why, again, are people mad at tariffs?

Im not surprised how popular this car is right now. Almost everyday I see someone order one for themselves. Tesla is killing it. A lot of these orders are coming from BMW, Audi, and Mercedes drivers. They’re converting!

@daltonbrewer I know right! It should be a sub $100 stock right now but thanks to brain washed investor base that is drinking kool-aid it’s still massively overpriced. Give it another 12 months and it will all unravel

How is $TSLA only $205 in August of 2024? 4 years ago it was roughly the same price.

The sharp rise in the JPY/USD is causing a massive unwind of Yen carry trade positions and contributing to the sharp decline in US stocks. For those who do not understand how this works, a brief explanation 1) Many traders were borrowing Jap Yen (JPY) at low interest rates, converted them to USD and used this to buy US stocks 2) Now that the Bank of Japan (BOJ) is raising interest rates, the JPY has strengthened significantly against the USD. Now, these traders are in big shit. Not only must they pay higher interest for the JPY they borrowed, they are now facing huge forex losses as well. The USD assets they are holding may not be enough to repay the JPY they have borrowed. 3) This is causing a huge unwind of these trade positions. Traders facing big losses and margin calls are selling their US stocks to raise USD, converting back to JPY and paying back their loans. 4) This can lead to more selling pressure on US stocks and even more declines in the short term. Middle east war escalation, US political uncertainty is also adding to the fear and panic. As an investor, this is great news because this type of short term crisis and panic is what gives me the opportunity to scoop up high quality US stocks at bigger and bigger discounts. take advantage of temporary mis-pricing caused by short term crisis. This is how we get richer.

It's now normal to see Tesla Model 3 and Model Y everywhere you look in California. You can hardly come to a stop at an intersection without seeing several of them, often traveling in flocks. But it wasn't always this way. It is but a distant memory now, but when I started covering Tesla and electric vehicles there were a lot of very smart and powerful people who wanted to wipe Tesla off the face of the Earth. You wouldn't believe how they fought, how they lied, how they even threatened and attacked me personally just for speaking out about what they were doing. A lot of the harassment and attacks continue to this day. They wanted so badly for Tesla to fail, bet billions against it, and got so angry when things didn't go their way. It was customers who fell in love with the products that ultimately saved the company from being wiped out. And now, because of the success of the Model 3 and Model Y, we have a vibrant EV ecosystem with electric models from every brand. Truly, this is a dream come true in so many ways. So often, critics of Musk and Tesla management seem to forget that if not for their sheer grit and determination the industry would look very different than it does today. Still today, Tesla remains one of few companies on Earth that are sustainably profitable as a pure EV manufacturer. No gas cars, no hybrids, no emissions at all from any products they sell. It is not well appreciated how exceptional Tesla is as a business. As other EV makers struggle to achieve the sustainable profitability Tesla found five years ago, Tesla is leveraging their fleet to build an AI robot empire. While everyone else fights for scraps, they are drawing the shape of a new market that will render everything that came before obsolete. And just like with EVs before the Model 3, most people are still in denial. All eyes on 8/8 $TSLA

Wow. FSD v12.3.6 just drove me home in pouring rain. I could barely see and honestly felt safer with the car driving me. 20 minute drive, 0 disengagements in pouring rain — I’m very impressed. Tesla is solving FSD, with the best approach, and no one else is close. This is the best technology I’ve ever experienced. I can’t wait for v12.4. $TSLA

BREAKING: Based on the premarket current price of $42, Roaring Kitty is up about $300M in the premarkets. As $GME Gamestop inches towards $70, his position will be worth north of $1B+. This is a retail investor beating the system in front of everyone and it’s just incredible. Gamestop also completed an offering last month and now has $2B in cash.

@JPUConn Comparing Porsche to a Tesla is like comparing a thoroughbred horse to a donkey. Tesla has the worst quality interior coupled with rough handling and acceleration. But thank you for your review! :)

Swapped my Tesla Model 3 for a buddies Porsche Taycan today. TLDR- his kids asked if they could upgrade to a Tesla. His kids have never been in a Tesla and rode with my wife in our 3. My kids rode in the Porsche with me and my friend. Porsche was in sport mode. My kids fell asleep in the Porsche, I enjoyed the car. Way too many screens and buttons for my liking but really a nice car that handled well. His kids were grinning ear to ear and wouldn’t stop talking about how the tesla drove itself, farted, was so awesome. His kids are now begging for them to trade the Porsche in and “upgrade to a Tesla!”

Why do analysts always focus on price cuts? Tesla doesn't care about making a profit on the sale of the car, (even though they do make profit on it), it's all about getting the cars into the customers hands. Tesla insurance, services, FSD, and Supercharging – this is how the cars make recurring profit. Even if they were to sell the car initially at a loss, they would still make a profit on the sale. Isn't this obvious?

The biggest threat facing $TSLA stock is an internal risk: more price cuts. TSLA’s price cuts over the past 18 months have reduced TSLA FY’24 earnings power by 48% - from $4.82 to $2.53. It’s as if TSLA’s marketing team has no other levers (e.g. comms to convince ICE owners why they should go EV) to persuade consumers to buy Teslas instead of Audis, BMWs, Mercedes, Volvos and other luxury cars. Competing on price cheapens the brand and has clearly not generated incremental volume, with 1Q delivs -8.5% YoY and 2Q delivs likely to be even worse -10% YoY. I’m not suggesting I know better than mgmt. I am suggesting TSLA acquire some new skills and try a different dance move.
