Another misleading report. Of course Planned Parenthood CAN be "reimbursed." They just won't be reimbursed with your federal tax dollars. Just like NPR/PBS, there are plenty of true believers who can voluntarily write a check to America's biggest abortion providers
NH Public Radio@nhpr

As of this week, Planned Parenthood health centers across the region can’t get reimbursed for the care they provide to many of their patients. A court order that had allowed the health centers to temporarily receive Medicaid payments expired Monday night and was not renewed. ow.ly/hCT950WuZXt

When Ayotte announced Tuesday that Broderick resigned his position after being named the first fund administrator in October of 2022, the former New Hampshire Supreme Court Chief Justice told InDepthNH.org that was not the case. "I didn't resign. They took my job away. I can't resign from a job I don't have," Broderick said. Under the new law, Ayotte has the power to appoint the fund administrator and the attorney general has final say over any settlement payments for the victims. "In what world does the defendant get to go in before the trial and say, 'I would like to pick the judge. I can replace the judge. We can overrule the jury.' We would laugh at that. It would be funny except we are not talking about children who were sent to bed without TV. They were sexually and physically abused, and this went on 50 years " Broderick said. @KellyAyotte - you're covering up for the Sununu family and company will have consequences, you cannot plan nor account for.

Simulation: Thailand-Cambodia Conflict Escalation Background and Current Circumstances The Thailand-Cambodia border dispute, particularly over areas like the Preah Vihear Temple and the Emerald Triangle, has a history dating back to a 1907 French colonial map, which left ambiguities in border demarcation. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruled in 1962 and 2013 that the Preah Vihear Temple belongs to Cambodia, but Thailand disputes the surrounding areas, leading to periodic clashes (e.g., 2008–2011, with significant fighting in 2011 killing at least 34 people). Recent tensions escalated in May 2025, when a Cambodian soldier was killed in a skirmish in the Emerald Triangle, a disputed border region where Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos meet. Both sides accused the other of initiating the conflict, with Cambodia claiming Thai troops fired first on a Cambodian trench, while Thailand alleged Cambodian forces provoked the clash. Since then, tit-for-tat measures—such as Cambodia banning Thai media, fruits, and fuel imports, and Thailand closing border crossings and threatening to cut internet and electricity—have heightened tensions. On July 23, 2025, a Thai soldier lost a leg to a landmine, which Thailand claimed was newly laid by Cambodia, further escalating the situation. On July 24, 2025, intense clashes erupted near the Ta Muen Thom temple, with Thailand launching F-16 airstrikes on Cambodian military targets and Cambodia responding with artillery, including BM-21 rockets. At least 12 people, mostly Thai civilians, were killed, and thousands were evacuated. Cambodia accused Thailand of using excessive force and violating international law, while Thailand claimed self-defense. Politically, Thailand’s Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra was suspended after a leaked phone call with Cambodia’s influential former leader Hun Sen, where she criticized the Thai military and addressed Hun Sen deferentially, sparking nationalist outrage in Thailand. Cambodia’s Hun Manet, backed by his father Hun Sen, has taken a hardline stance, proposed military conscription and appealed to the UN Security Council and ICJ. Nationalist sentiments on both sides, fueled by historical rivalries and cultural disputes, are driving escalation. Regional Context and Escalation Factors The broader Southeast Asian geopolitical landscape significantly influences this conflict: The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), which includes both Thailand and Cambodia, aims to maintain regional harmony but is strained by internal conflicts, such as Myanmar’s civil war. The Thailand-Cambodia clashes further expose ASEAN’s inability to mediate effectively, weakening its diplomatic leverage. Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, ASEAN’s current chair, has called for calm, but no concrete resolution mechanisms have emerged. Cambodia is a close ally of China, while Thailand is a U.S. non-NATO ally but maintains economic ties with Beijing. China has expressed concern and urged dialogue, positioning itself as a potential mediator. However, China’s growing influence in both countries could complicate matters, as Beijing may prioritize its strategic interests (e.g., Belt and Road projects in Cambodia) over impartial mediation. Thailand’s fragile coalition government, led by Paetongtarn’s Pheu Thai Party, faces internal dissent, with the military and nationalist factions criticizing her handling of the crisis. In Cambodia, Hun Sen’s continued influence overshadows Hun Manet, and his nationalist rhetoric may be a tactic to bolster domestic support amid economic struggles. These domestic pressures incentivize both leaders to maintain hardline stances to appease nationalist sentiments. The shared Khmer cultural heritage, including disputes over temples like Preah Vihear and Ta Muen Thom, fuels nationalist fervor. Past incidents, such as the 2003 riots in Phnom Penh over false claims about Thai ownership of Angkor Wat, highlight how cultural disputes can escalate quickly. The U.S. has advised its citizens to avoid border areas, while Japan has urged de-escalation. However, external powers are unlikely to intervene directly due to the localized nature of the conflict, leaving room for China to play a larger role. Russia’s historical arms supply to Cambodia (e.g., BM-21 rockets) and Thailand’s military ties with the U.S. could indirectly shape the conflict’s trajectory.
