When we started Supernormal, we adopted the Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license, intending to provide unrestricted rights to our community. However, as we continue to evolve, we realized this might not be the most optimal arrangement to maximize the value and potential of your assets. We've been in close consultation with our legal advisors, and we've decided to transition from CC0 to a holder-held IP & licensing rights model. This change means that you, our valued holders, will be recognized and can benefit from the intellectual property rights tied to your NFTs. We're convinced that this will enhance the value of your assets in the evolving NFT marketplace. Here's what you need to know: According to Creative Commons, any use of our license that has already occurred can continue. So, for example, our fantastic community member @GreatCarls, creator of the amazing 8bitZIPS collection, can continue their fantastic work without any interruptions. This change is not retroactive and doesn't impact previous uses of our assets under the CC0 license. For the future, any new use of our assets will need to respect the IP rights held by you, the holders. This change gives you more control and potential benefits from your NFTs in ways that weren't possible under the CC0 license. We're really excited about this development and believe it resonates with our core philosophy of empowering our community.
