Penguins GM Kyle Dubas has confirmed that veteran defenceman Erik Karlsson will not be traded this summer.
While Karlsson remains signed through next year at a cap hit of $10 million, he is owed a $6 million signing bonus on July 1 of this year and just $1.5 million in remaining salary beyond that.

Senators allowed 9 shots in 2-1 win vs NYR. No Jake Sanderson, playing most of the game with 4 D. Sens rank 1st this season in shots and expected goals against. Top 3 in just about every other meaningful defensive category. Huge game in Detroit tomorrow for both teams.
