@IO__podcast @sterlingmsnow @thogge Stoked for Redo and especially that it is happening in UT. Sounds similar to what Rippling is doing in the HR space for merchants in the e commerce space.
English

Something special is being built in Utah. Today, Redo announced a $24m Series A with our very own @sterlingmsnow leading as CEO and cofounder.
@thogge and @sterlingmsnow sat down to go deeper into the announcement - what is Redo, why it's outpacing other fast-growing startups, and how they're making a billion dollar bet.
Chapters:
01:03 Why The Investor Operator Podcast Was Started
03:45 How Sterling Started Talking With The Founding Team At Redo
05:12 Why Redo May Be The Next Divvy
09:41 What Is Redo & How It's Going
16:30 Why You Should Join Redo
23:30 Join An Excellent Startup For Faster Career Growth

@film42 I got off prime a while ago. Didn't think it was worth it. Free shipping on orders over $25 (I think). Maybe it takes a bit slower but hasn't been a problem.

@thogge @Pelion_VP Careers page is like a LeBron James Instagram post.
English

The @Pelion_VP billboard looks pretty great on I-15 with the remi spotlight

@film42 Biggest problem with GCP. Great tech, but can be hostile towards customers with their changes (thinking price, and breaking api changes)

It took three years to finish, but our follow-up to the 2006 "What Goes Around Comes Around" is finally out! Stonebraker and I examine the last 20 years in databases and discuss why relational databases + SQL will continue to remain on top.

@thogge Utah Graupels (type of snow). Utah pyramids (to represent all of our MLM companies)

I present to you the top 3 options to name an NHL or MLB team in Utah.
The names could work for either.
1. Utah Golden Spikes. Homage to The Golden Spike National Historical Park in Utah, which commemorates the completion of the first Transcontinental Railroad with a ceremonial Golden Spike on May 10, 1869. Probably works better for baseball than NHL.
2. Utah Cutts. Utah's state fish is the Bonneville Cutthroat Trout, one of the prettiest fish on earth.
3. Utah Black Diamonds. Ode to the greatest snow on earth.
Which one do you like the best?

English

@thogge one issue i have with golden spike is there is already the golden knights in vegas.

@jstanier Definitely going to order this. Really enjoyed your first book and blog posts. Looking forward to reading this. Thanks for your efforts!

I'm super excited to announce that the sequel to my first book is now in beta.
It's called Become A Great Engineering Leader.
It's about moving beyond managing a single team and going towards Director, VP and beyond.

@teddyferrin I started some to play some golf at the end of last year. Upgraded my clubs from the Walmart ones I got in high school 15+ years ago. Watched a bunch of videos (Danny Maude FTW) and practiced at home. Went and played 9 for the first time and shot the exact same. 52. Still had fun
