Lot of ire on X that PM Modi used address to the nation for a speech fit for a political rally. Breach of electoral code of conduct, constitutional morality etc noted. I avoided it, as what else was expected? Kept IPL matches playing, though they too, like PM’s speech, have predictable outcomes on flat pitches.
India”s $10 trillion dollar problem. Germany, UK, Japan and India all are in 4-5 trillion GDP but only 1 country out of all of them is truly trying to run an independent foreign policy. But for India to be a true hegemonic power.. India needs $10 trillion in GDP… at that level of GDP, India will be spending $300-$500 billion on its defence and will be able to project power far and wide. The way we have Wagner group, blackwater group, DeWe, Huaxin security group India will have a private military contractor to do India”s dirty work without any blowback. This is why western powers and their proxies will not allow India to get to $10 trillion if they have their way. Next few years are going to be very challenging and exciting for India.
India attracts only ~9 million foreign tourists a year which is roughly the same number as annual visitors to the Louvre alone. Vietnam, a far smaller country, attracted more than double this number last year. Why does a country of our scale and tourism potential remain such an underperformer on the global tourism dashboard?

Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI. AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.
A very sad day for the citizens of India. The opposition has opposed and voted down a Just, practical solution to ensure 33% seats in parliament for women without compromising the interests of the South. This law would increase seats for all states by 50%, also make sure constituencies cultivated by existing MP’s remain largely intact and was the best solution.
