THE KING OF THE DEAD Since the announcement of the cast, Theo has been connected with the King of the Dead. There were of course not that many original characters that were human and male and the other candidate, Halbrand, turned out to be the Dark Lord himself.

Mírendil could be an actual name in Númenor and that is so funny. Imagine someone naming their child Mírendil after witnessing this during the trial by abyss. Or imagine Elendil recruiting people for his rebellion and a guy names Mírendil goes to join his army. He'd drop dead.

@zywrathe If you haven’t read it, I’d recommend the His Dark Materials trilogy by P. Pullman. I don’t see many people talking about it, but it’s really great. And if you’re looking for a standalone fantasy novel, I’d recommend The Eyes of the Dragon by Stephen King, I really enjoyed it

The first of the dark tower was very boring but I’m willing to give it another chance bc I listened to the audiobook the day I had eye surgery and had to stay in my room in the dark. Also, King is my favorite author, so I trust him

@arawynshope Eragon is egregiously derivative. I reread the series as an adult and honestly had a hard time with it. It could be boring and cringe. The other books are better, with Brisingr being my favorite.
