Friends, much of our democracy is grounded in God, and we should not divorce these two dimensions of life. That is what this Rededicate 250 celebration is all about, and I’m honored to be part of it by offering remarks and a rededication prayer.

@BishopBarron This is such a vague, snx mostly untrue statement. John Adams signed a treaty stating the U.S. government was "not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion." The Founders debated religion constantly, but they grounded government in citizens and laws—not a church.
