i’ve spent my whole professional life working with Div. we’ve been through the lowest lows and some incredible highs together and i’m certain & hopeful that there’s so much more ahead for us <3

last month i decided to step away from @noicedotso and hit pause on my founder journey noice is roughly a year old but the team has been grinding together since early 2024. back then i was just happy to be working day in and day out with people i liked - i had no idea what it would turn into launching noice was the magnum opus of my professional life so far. 'noice summer' as we termed it is a time of my life that i'll never forget and it truly changed my belief in what a small team can achieve in a very small period of time we shipped something real, got backed by people we deeply respect, and went through the kind of lows and highs that permanently change how you see yourself. i'm so grateful for every bit of it but somewhere in the middle of all that, i started feeling like a new chapter was calling. not away from the work, away from the version of me that was doing it next few months i'm focused on reflecting and working on myself. sitting with the discomfort of not knowing what's next until that becomes okay meanwhile srijan, heet and the rest of the team are gonna continue steering the wheel at noice

I’m now convinced that the biggest winner of the AI race will be Apple. They will acquire Anthropic and put an AI model that can run on ~32GB of RAM in every device. It will be private, local, have perfect memory, access to all of your files and it will cost $0. The real moat was owning the hardware.

I know it's a tough time in the markets. In case it helps anyone, the lowest personal and career point for me was when I started a liquid crypto fund in Jan 2018 and the markets crashed 90% over the year. The lowest our fund went down was an embarrassing 75%. That meant it needed to 4x just to break even We had all these investors who trusted us (ones that said yes after doing ~1,000 fundraising meetings), some I looked up to enormously and felt I had burned my reputation and others that were literally yelling on the phone. I was worried what I had brought everyone into including employees. I had also put in almost all of my personal savings into it But we held onto what we believed in and years later it paid off (~4x DPI to investors so far). Stick to assets you fundamentally believe in and never do anything extreme out of emotions
