prepping the liquid launch article has me looking @ some data about my time on farcaster (feb '24 - feb '26) & clanker vs all other base launchpads not that I need much of an excuse to review the ol' "base launchpad" scorecard, like any old fuck I'm sentimental, nostalgic even whenever a high agency ecosystem organically incubates new meta, there are follow-ons who repackage the core theses, principles, speculative futures... and (re)brand them in some boring, clean way so as to be palatable to the timid, "day late & a dollar short" style of whatever institutional capital circulates nearby at that time. VC and/or Fortune 500 Companies preferrably, CT or FC KOLs alternatively and usually only if founders are struggling to find the inner motion necessary to get it up and do the deed (make a coin go up, close a raise). after watching somewhere between 10-20 forks, follower-ons, or VC-raise-copy-pastas, I became sort of zen about the process. not that i was anti-fork, forking is how I learned what it means to build something. iterate and improve. go fork something today, fr! Zen also led me to the core truth of what it was we shipped: the tech can't be the moat we all know this by now. Launchpad's are a social technology first and foremost, a financial product somewhere down the hierarchy of needs, and last of all they are a tech product. So no shade to the forks, or the people who struggled to contribute new ideas into the meta. While I do find it puzzling - ideas are free, did you just not have any? - I empathize. reviewing competitor data on dune, I realize that its actually just kind of hard to organically drive millions of dollars to bootstrapped devs and teams choosing to follow a fully onchain dev path. It's a lot easier to download figma and slap some pretty graphics on some anon's posts and call up whichever boomer fund ur friend works at. its a lot easier to write marketing copy than it is to actually BUILD IT. LAUNCH IT. FUND IT. anyway, RIP to all who failed, gl to those who survive

@_proxystudio Yep. This is what @songcastxyz achieves for music tokenization + compatibility for any song through canonical mapping Every track ID has one unique onchain identity. Paste the Track URL and onboarding is done.

to put it in other words: probably makes sense for protocol fees to be reflexive to some degree based on token success, and for earnings to be limited by time. Both for the protocol and the creator. Creator fees should revert to some lp optimization technique following the bootstrapping phase, with some % of the resulting fees continuing to accrue to creators/teams. But fee rev was always meant to be a beginning, not an end. A start that replaces opaque and antiquated methods of accruing capital off-chain. Similarly, creator earnings early on should be instantly off-rampable so that creators can pay for dev / salary / ops / legal etc

Bags is poorly designed if a creator can spend 100% of their fees on $36k of buybacks, the protocol can earn $36k from their fee split, and the LP is left after all that with $21k in liq and low vol. nothing personal, just suboptimal protocol design choices imo. Optimizing for increasing fees or trying to render specific price action post launch vs the pure and good metric of "volume/time @ higher prices" is quite simply incorrect and will always result in faster coin death and worse outcomes for anybody naieve and hopeful enough to take a token at its word, to believe that these things can be valuable The market will show you what It likes a migration makes most sense to us, but will need to be done thoughtfully 💧

hey bro want to not provide angel funding for my pending launch? Yeah basically we aren't doing any fundraising for it. Yep, no funds needed we'll fund it ourselves. The bags token? Yes correct, all fees from bags will and have been used to buyback. Yessir, we'll be taking 'er with us, going live soon with a very special launch partner. Lmk if you're not interested though, can not start a telegram chat

"Hey bro you wanna angel in my...." No "Hey bro you wanna buy private genesis NFTs, will be cheaper than public..." No "Hey bro you wanna get WL to our presale...." In bull, maybe. In bear, no.

@apex_ether Glad it worked for you By the way, sorry to read about the recent veil zk signature exploit, glad scope of impact was limited. let me know if there's anyway I can support you. Proficient @ dune, various other forms of block exploring if useful at all

Anyone come up with a good way to connect web3 wallets in Cursor browser or Claude / codex preview (outside of wallet connect) ?

"Replace need for human love entirely with AI-generated agents, calibrated to encourage effort and power" Hear me out: whoever wrote this sentence is not a "world eater," they are in fact a mindless drone consuming the detritus of an industry interested in selling them software. 🤷‍♂️
Daniel Faggella@danfaggella

@lex_node @GENIC0N The world eaters will have an advantage over the lotus eaters Obviously the competition between world eaters will be fierce, but most poeple will lean more towards the lotus and won’t be in the fight danfaggella.com/the-transhuman…
