On @BBCr4today speaking on climate change @JohnKerry claims “the US is living up to its word”. This is not true. The US signed the Paris Agreement; to make its fair contribution to hold to “well below 2°C” & “pursue .. 1.5°C”. @bbcnickrobinson should have picked him up on this!

I completely agree with @DaleVince and @ChrisGPackham👇🏼Sunak has doubled down on fossil fuels to make his mates in the industry richer while the rest of us go to hell. No doubt he hopes they’ll pay to rebuild his party when we vote them out next year. Let's never have them back!

Sunak is breathtakingly dishonest. From his shameless claim that Starmer’s policy to stop drilling in the North Sea (entirely as per international scientific & political consensus) was bought by donations from an environmentalist, to his claims that his own rogue policies to start drilling will benefit the country - it really is little more than a lie when the facts say the exact opposite (it can’t lower energy bills or give us security). But perhaps we can understand his approach a little better today - @RishiSunak's family may not be unemployed or disabled but they are on state benefits - that’s how this $1.5 billion contract looks to me. And that too is breathtakingly dishonest.
