“If He is all-powerful, He would be able to do so” assumes that universal salvation is a logically coherent state of affairs that could be brought about by one agent acting unilaterally. It is not. It not logically possible to be saved by God against your will.

@SpeedWatkins @DrScotMSullivan Most of the objections to your position involve ignoring the plain meaning of the word "save." Saving a person doesn't require that person's consent, and typically there isn't time to obtain it anyways.

@DrScotMSullivan The solution to this problem is soooo easy: God in fact saves everyone.

If God is perfectly good, He would desire to save everyone. If He is all-powerful, He would be able to do so. If both are true, everyone would be saved. Since not everyone is saved, either God lacks power, lacks goodness, or does not exist. Choose wisely.

The Epistle to the Romans alone has several multi-volume commentaries about what is already a heavily derivative work (Romans is 25-35% OT quotes and allusions).

Updated USA birth series from CDC Wonder. January 2026 already had a major revision with the release of the February data, resulting in NHW share rising from 49.10% to 49.17%, so I haven't marked it preliminary.

A time series of NHW percentage share change since January 2025. The rate of change has mostly stabilized since August 2025, and February's NHW share will probably be revised upwards in coming months.

Paul likely witnessed the crucifixion. The idea that Paul was completely unaware of Jesus until his conversion on the road to Damascus ignores the geographic and social realities of the time. Given that both men were active in the same religious circles and that the Jewish leadership was deeply involved in the events leading to the crucifixion, it is highly probable that Paul was among the crowds hearing Jesus preach. This shifts our understanding of Paul from someone who simply heard a story to someone who likely witnessed the very movement he initially tried to destroy. It's maybe an intuitive point, but the only countries that regularly naturalize a non-negligible number of non-coethnic foreigners are those principally inhabited by people of European descent. In 2024, Liechtenstein naturalized more than 10x the number (252) of Indonesia (20).
