Now I have done the formalities. I will be leaving @Southern_NHSFT in 8 weeks to begin a new role within @HantsPolice as a Wellbeing Support Caseworker. Working with Police Officers, bringing my #OccupationalTherapist skills to the table and building the role from the ground up!

@HannahtheOT Completely agree. I was turned away as was deemed ‘too unwell’ but community mental health teams said I wasn’t unwell enough - everything unfortunately went down hill from there and I fell through the gaps. This happens too often.

When I tried taking my own life it was never bc I wanted to die. I had this realisation that it was bc I was is in so much emotional pain that all I wanted was for the pain to end. All I wanted was to feel like I could breathe again. But what I have learnt is… pain is temporary.

@theRCOT @unisouthampton for my BSc and @UoSOccTherapy for my MSc! Both great universities - feel lucky to have completed two degrees when I didn’t even think I’d do one when I was 17 😌 Good luck to all the new students!

Baby update - being a mum is a challenging new role for me but it’s also an amazing one. I’ve never felt a love like it ❤️ Having to learn how to readjust to life with a baby in tow and a lot less sleep! Getting there 😌

Baby Boy Oliver arrived a little early on 28th July. Weighing 6lbs 6ozs - we are now at home and doing well, adjusting to life as parents! 💙
