Public Announcement: Apillon Wind-Down Dear Apillon community, partners, and friends, After many months of fighting through challenges and exploring every possible path forward, we’ve made the very hard decision to wind down Apillon. It’s not a decision we ever wanted to make,  but one that became unavoidable as continuing to operate sustainably proved impossible. Over the past years, Apillon set out to make building on Polkadot simpler and more accessible. Our amazing team of passionate, highly motivated people achieved great things - from launching developer tools and SDKs to scaling Apillon to over 150,000 builders worldwide. However, broader market conditions, the slowdown in new builders entering the ecosystem, and the fragmentation of the Polkadot tech stack made it increasingly difficult for us to maintain and scale the platform. Mistakes were made along the way. As a team of developers, we focused too little on the business side of things. As true believers in the Polkadot technology and ecosystem, we built exclusively on Polkadot and were too late to explore other, faster-growing ecosystems - a decision that ultimately limited our ability to adapt and scale. Apillon will remain fully operational until the end of 2025, with all services continuing to run for existing users. The platform will officially wind down on January 1st, 2026, providing ample time for everyone to migrate their projects and data. The Apillon codebase and smart contracts will remain open source so others in the community can build upon our work if they wish to. On behalf of the entire Apillon team, we want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who supported us - our partners, community, all the amazing teams we collaborated with across the Polkadot ecosystem, the Polkadot Treasury, and especially the developers who believed in our mission. While Apillon’s chapter is coming to a close, the ideas, technology, and spirit behind it remain open for others to continue and evolve. Thank you for being part of our journey.
