Denzel Ward is one of the most underrated and disrespected corners in football. The only reason he doesn’t get the recognition he deserves is because he’s spent his career on Browns teams that haven’t won enough.
¹¹@JRamEnjoyerr
This might be the greatest rep from a corner I’ve ever seen in my life

@John_Sabol Love was injured on purpose by that thug Kelly Olynyk. Fact.
English

#Cavs would've won the 2015 title if Kyrie Irving's knee didn't blow up and if Kevin Love's shoulder didn't get ripped out of its socket.
(sigh)

On this day in 2015, the Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers to win their first title in 40 years 😤🏆

@CavsPulse It depends on the stadium. Assuming we’re only talking about northern stadiums (the southern ones are used more often) the stadiums in NY, Boston, and Chicago get used quite a bit between NFL, MLS, and other events.
English

Use them 8-9 times a year + a Kenny Chesney concert most summers
WelBeast@WelBeast
What do Americans do with all these big stadiums?

@Tripify_ @MattFontana83 They’re available online but the issue is one violation is a lifetime ban. You’re trusting an NFL team’s future that a self admitted gambling addict will never relapse.
English

@BZip330 @MattFontana83 Mate…I’m not too sure what they totally are, but I know they’re allowed to play table games and such. I believe that they just can’t gamble on their own games, other NFL games, and possibly college. I’m not too sure.
English

@Tripify_ @MattFontana83 The NFL player gambling rules are a little tighter than that.
English

I think Brendan Sorsby is a fantastic QB prospect and if he puts everything together, could turn into a really special NFL QB. However, putting a rehabbing gambling addict on the Cleveland #Browns is like giving a loaded gun to a toddler. It never ends well.

@NickPedone12 The Browns do NOT need to invest their future in a recovering addict QB subject to relapse. Simple enough.
English

After watching the quarterback competition throughout the entire offseason program, I am not sure that I agree with the Browns "not needing" Brendan Sorsby.
BIGPLAY Cleveland@BIGPLAYcle
Should the Browns target Brendan Sorsby in the supplemental draft? “I don’t think we need him.” -@PhilTaylor98 tells @loebsleads the Browns should pass. Live now on YouTube: youtube.com/live/ufuSn9Eyg…
English

@JaredKMueller @KenCarman That’s ridiculous. Sanders would draw maybe a 5th round pick that was used but likely not. Sorsby is a huge risk for a team that doesn’t need it.
English

Alright, here is my conspiracy theory:
- Browns are very interested in Sorsby
- Plan to make Deshaun Watson the starter no matter what
- Prolong the "QB competition" to keep Shedeur's value high
- If they get Sorsby, have a Sanders trade worked out already

@BrownSpiderCLE @Network_216 AB can talk him up all he wants to but he is simply regressing and nothing shows that’s changing.
English

@Network_216 I get it that lots of people don’t like Jeudy. But until Boston and/or Concepcion show out on this level, Jeudy’s your #1. Berry called him the Browns bell cow.
English

@BrownSpiderCLE Be honest. Tillman is a stiff and so is Jeudy. Both are inconsistent at best and can’t catch a cold at worst. There is nothing lost by seeing either of them leave. You know why AB is drafting WRs. These guys will be out of the NFL soon
English

@BabyPeelSlip @TheNotoriousHRT Without transplants Boston would be Brockton writ large.
English

@TheNotoriousHRT Transplants have ruined this city. A bunch of dull finance, marketing or biotech turds who contribute nothing to our culture, drive up rents, and won’t visit a restaurant that isn’t painted gray and white.
English

@TheNotoriousHRT What BS. They living in the suburbs or working in the suburbs without a car. FFS. 🤦🏻♀️
English

@KenCarman Baker now is better than what we have. That said, baker has never won a big game in his pro life and he remains as inconsistent as ever. Not a franchise QB.
English

@BrianCostin They’ll make a ton more money controlling parking and site development from a domed stadium in Hammond. Thems the facts.

Personal Opinion: The Bears don’t need a new stadium deal. They already have the best deal in football.
At Soldier Field, the Bears pay just $6.48 million a year in rent, with increases tied to only 50% of CPI every five years. Which means their effective rent drops over time.
And no property taxes.
At $6.5M/year, it would take roughly 116 years of Soldier Field rent to equal the cost of a $2 billion new stadium commitment. And that doesn't even include property taxes or interest on the loan.
The Bears have had no problem increasing ticket prices. According to Statista, the Bears ranked fourth in the NFL in average ticket price in 2023, at $458.17 per ticket. Likely bringing in over $25M+/game. Profitability isn't an issue at Soldier Field.
For taxpayers, fans, and the Bears, Soldier Field is the obvious answer:
No new taxes.
No new property tax shifts.
No new infrastructure expenses.
No new history to build.
No alienation of fans.
And the Bears can still develop Arlington Heights or Hammond without putting a stadium there, if that's what they choose to do. Even if they want to develop west of Soldier Field, they are free to join the One Central development or start their own.
No one is stopping them from becoming real estate developers if they are dissatisfied with only being a football team.
But the bottom line: Soldier Field is the lower-cost, lower-risk option for Bears fans, taxpayers, and the region.
The General Assembly doesn't need to do anything. Soldier Field is already the best deal in the NFL.
