You cannot have open borders and welfare programs. You have to choose one. I prefer no welfare and more open borders (with exceptions for violent criminals and people from countries we are at war with/ have terrorists). The lack of welfare will (as it did in the U.S. in the past) filter out the types of problematic immigrants we do not want.
