@70YardRun It’s more likely to be the training sessions but I mean a lack of motivational prowess following Jurgen’s tenure, while unlikely, could be a part of it. I’d put my money either on laid back training sessions or a lacklustre preseason fitness routine.

@BeautifulGameJS Do you think Slot sees it as a problem? Like he tells them they are all overweight? Or its stemmed from his ‘laid back’ training routines that give the players extra days off?

It’s truly unfathomable to consider that we’ve outran opponents a grand total of 4 times of a possible 31 this season. The hierarchy may’ve grabbed the right guy to get the most out of the squad last season, but they’re culprits in establishing & allowing this new standard.

Sidenote: How is Robert Sanchez still a starter?

I love how that Lebron smacking his chest celebration has stood the test of time & is more prominent among traditional 9’s in football than it is in actual basketball.

@mekit_happen I think alot of us were to be honest, but when the loudest voices are perfectly fine with throwing our most integral player of the last decade being thrown under the bus, unfortunately that gets attached to us, too. Whether we like it or not.

@BeautifulGameJS Yea that makes sense. Full disclosure, I was adamantly against what Salah did but he was ‘right’ about Slot. I couldn’t be more Slot out than I am now

@mekit_happen I disagree that our hierarchy specifically would’ve fired him but I actually agree with what you’re saying, I just don’t think a player of his caliber & ambition would be able to keep his mouth shut in the first place when he sees us going down the hill with no brakes.

Agree with the sentiment here but the way he did it actively WENT AGAINST what he was saying. They were never going to fire a coach bc a player complained to the media about him. Nor should they. If Salah would have kept it behind closed doors I think there’s a much greater chance Slot wouldn’t be here now.

@RedReinzx11 We’re past the point of determining ambition in my opinion. It very clearly should’ve happened before the CL R16 stage started up again as they would’ve correctly identified the CL or latter FA Cup stages as the targets.

@BeautifulGameJS If the club has any sort of ambition this season, they should replace him imminently.

Since Liverpool clinched the title at home to Spurs, they’ve played 35 Premier League matches. They’ve gathered 52 points in that time. 14 wins 10 draws 11 losses

Let me bring you back to a quote, published by Paul Joyce, that took place during the Salah vs Slot feud: “Results will determine Slot’s future, not Salah stamping his feet.” Now ask yourselves, are these the results they are referring to? Is this good enough?

We look more likely to concede another than to just grab the equalizer.

If this stands I’m gonna need to see Slot’s finest kitchen sink to date.

I just don’t think you can watch Liverpool on a regular basis & say we have a distinct, noticeable pattern of how to win matches. Injuries sure, you’d still notice that every player in the squad would know their role.

Boy what I thought of Kerkez in December vs March is purely night & day. Perfect successor. Great instinctive goal.

As if this strange season couldn’t get stranger, Ekitike goes out early following reports that Isak may be back soon.

As I said in the pod, when the great strikers/wingers get older, you don’t make them do more tracking back. Moving him up the pitch centrally is the best way to get the most from him, especially with Isak likely to come off the bench the remainder of the season.
