A very popular take on here that I will never get on board with is the idea that Liverpool winning the league had nothing to do with Slot, yet this season had everything to do with Slot. Last season was his tactics, and he inherited a team which was allegedly due to go BACKWARDS because Klopp left. It was his tactics, his man management and his philosophy that won us the league. The only thing Klopp can get praised for is that SOME of the signings that helped us get there were from his mini stint as a silent Sports director. But Klopp left us, and it corresponded in a title-chasing collapse, so how the hell does he get any praise for the following season?? Slot was the one who lost players he didnt want to lose that were crucial to helping him win the league title. It will also be Slot that is sacrificed for failing to get the rebuild firing as quickly as possible. But you cannot say last season had nothing to do with him and this season has everything to do with him. You all would have protected Klopp with your life if we had the same season under his leadership. I guarantee that FSG and Pep Linjders would have been to blame.

But look where they are now with the same players Amorim said he couldn't play together. The entire team can't be out of form so it's not just individuals.

Today was not on Slot btw you can argue with the wall if u want but he can't control the players like FIFA on Xbox. It was Virgil who made a clumsy challenge, it was Mo who missed a big chance & a penalty. The players have to take accountability. 2 easy to blame the manager #LFC

We are not playing well and losing. Even relegation threatened teams find some form at some point. Where is the light in this tunnel?

Reality is, the fans have proved this season that all they care about is winning. If the squad gets sorted and it’s all handy dandy again? They’ll shut up. They’re no different to any other fanbase. And it makes all the YNWA and laughing at United for their 13 years of grief all the funnier. One year of pain due to completely unavoidable circumstances and heads have gone.

@GooalMouth If you’re going to give him kudos for winning the league then you have to criticise him after the season we’ve had. His biggest issue until the end of the season is that he’s forced to play Salah every game when he shouldn’t be starting wi current form. We will continue to lose.

@LFCLaurie Carragher gave an interview saying Salah was 5th and needs to win a PFA and title to be 1-3. He does that and all of a sudden, he is now 6th and then the club decides to post it barely 48 hrs after Salah said he is leaving. We are human beings and it feels like a slight on salah

Some of this revisionism surrounding Carragher just because of his Salah ranking is just nonsense. You don't make 737 appearances for Liverpool and be at the heart of the greatest comeback in football if you were some bang average bum. At his peak, he was elite, case closed.

It’s not poor timing from anyone, I did this interview before Salah announced his decision. Then went on the overlap a day after the Salah announcement & brought up I’d put him 6th on the LFC list. The club decided to put it out before I gave away my full list!
