@belladabrera James Cook was an amazing man. Well worth exploring as much history about him as possible if we want to inspire students and everyday Australians. How many of us could do what he and his crew achieved all those years ago. Such courage, determination and talent.

From Calling Men Out, To Bringing Us In: Let’s Talk About Family Violence ‘Family violence is a national disgrace’ ‘Domestic violence and any abuse is just not on’ ‘Don’t do it and don’t stand for it.’ These were some of the statements made by several high-profile Australian men 12 months ago in a short video, broadcast at major sporting events, intended to help end family violence committed by men. In this piece I wrote at the time, I discuss moving beyond the blunt tool of condemnation and compulsion to confront the issue at the base of family violence: the human condition. I wrote, let’s talk about: the reason the men in this video, and men in general, can’t and don’t engage with the root psychological cause of violence (by men or women); How we all can now discuss this underlying driver openly, honestly, and compassionately; How we can now move beyond condemnation and compulsion, from calling men out to bringing them in. sambelfield.substack.com/p/from-calling… Image: ‘Wace’ embraces and consoles ‘Barky’ in the final scenes of 'Erskineville Kings', 1999 (Radical Media)

MSM refuses to give any respect at all to voters who signal an intent to vote One Nation. They are considered disillusioned at best, or more commonly just stupid. Never are they respected as voters exercising their right to select and vote for the policies they support.

Here is the full clip. It was a good faith discussion about the growing pains One Nation are experiencing. One Nation have said themselves that they are punting nutters. I’m all for giving it to bad faith journos but clipping things out of context and misrepresenting factual and reasonable discussion isn’t going to help.

@FredPawle The most effective way ,of course, is to stop building the stupid things. I’d rather see $45 million spent on a thoroughly honest and truly independent investigation as to the validity of Net Zero in the first place.

The govt is spending $45m of your money researching ways to stop birds flying into giant windmills and being sliced to shreds. One solution: build the windmills higher! You can’t hate this moronic, profligate govt enough.

My interview with Bella for The Lyle Shelton Show drops this afternoon on YouTube & Spotify etc. Our education system is cooked and it’s wrecking our kids and civilisation. Time to fight back folks. Bella shows the way.

The opening night of our national tour to launch Mindless: How the Education System is Indoctrinating Children and Destroying Our Civilisation, the new book by Dr @belladabrera, was nothing short of phenomenal. More than 200 people attended the event, hosted by @TheIPA, in the ballroom at the Rydges Hotel in the Sydney CBD. Dr d’Abrera delivered a devastatingly powerful speech about how universities, schools and even childcare centres are indoctrinating children with new political, sexual and cultural dogmas instead of teaching them how to read, write and become responsible members of society. But here is the key point: almost every person in the room then queued up to buy the book. Some people bought 10 copies, to distribute to other parents and grandparents. This is an extraordinary strike rate. A good book will usually sell copies to half the audience at its launch. For Mindless, virtually every person in the room was moved to grab a copy. Mindless is clearly one of the most important books published in Australia in 30 years. It exposes how comprehensively the education system in Australia (and the US and UK) has been overtaken by Marxists who treat your children as their own, to be moulded not into happy, productive members of society but anxious, angry, illiterate and innumerate political activists who hate their own country and even their own parents. This is not just about the future of our children, but the future of our whole society. Time is running out to reverse this catastrophic process. The Australian tour to launch Mindless continues throughout June. Book tickets here: ipa.org.au/latest-news/mi… Click here to buy the book: amazon.com.au/Mindless-Educa… Mindless is published by wybornpress.com, and supported by @TheIPA.

Competing Visions Of The Human Person Two days ago, I attended the launch of ‘Mindless How the Education System is Indoctrinating Children and Destroying Our Civilisation,’ the most recent book by Dr @belladabrera. The event was held by @TheIPA (Institute of Public Affairs), at which d’Abrera is Director, Foundations of Western Civilisation Program. In her speech, d’Abrera opened by stating that things have gone ‘very badly wrong’ in the educational institutions across the West, from early child care through to universities. Many important points were made by d’Abrera, including in the panel conversation that followed. However, there was one theme that d’Abrera returned to several times, which, in my view, elevated and put in perspective the seriousness of the issue: the vision of the human person. d’Abrera asked us to confront the outcomes of the education system as it now exists and asked, "Who are the adults we are forming?" What is that system’s vision of the human person? And for example, is it producing morally serious humans? D’Abrera stated that a defining trait of Western civilisation has been emphasis on the human being. She elaborated, describing how Western civilisation has hitherto championed the pursuit of knowledge, truth, and making sense of the world. It has valued and sought to help humans flourish by cultivating truth, faith, and by recognising the human soul and our humanity. Later, d’Abrera returned to our vision of the human, and its expression and elevation through beauty, art, music, and a sense of wonder. She framed the purpose of education as ‘opening the eyes of the student to the possibilities’ to ‘do great things.’ We were asked to consider (and lament) how many potentially extraordinary people, such as modern Shakespeares, who would have enriched our lives, have likely been foregone due to educational decline. In contrast with the West’s emphasis on a vision of the human being, D’Abrera said the institutions have a vision of ‘the State’. Educational institutions have been repurposed to produce ‘political activists,’ ‘soldiers of activism,’ and ‘cogs of State machinery.’ All institutions are deemed as ‘not neutral bodies’, nothing is objectively true, and all knowledge is ‘morally tainted’. In fact, ‘to know’ is to be part of the oppressive and victimising orthodoxy, and must be replaced with ‘other ways of knowing.’ A long-standing collective literary reservoir, the basis for a shared human, character- and morals-focused outlook, has devolved into a power struggle, identity politics, ideological infractions, and other ‘deranged theories.’ Children are dehumanised through identity politics and are not primed with the knowledge and tools to fulfil their potential. Ideology has supplanted civilisation. Importantly, D’Abrera emphasised that we should not despair and that there is a push back from young people who are ‘hungry for truth and knowledge.’ In conclusion, D’Abrera observed that ‘truth vindicates’ and urged us to ‘fight, fight, fight.’ Retiring Senior Fellow at the Centre for the Australian Way of Life, John Roskam, chaired the panel conversation with D’Abrera and IPA Schools Program and Research Fellow, Colleen Harkin, Director. There was a wide-ranging, 30-minute discussion that was well received by the 200-plus guests, including a notable number of younger Australians. I’m about 100 pages into ‘Mindless.’ It is a compelling, comprehensive and incisive ‘catalogue of the madness’ that will no doubt help ‘truth out.’

Tearing down transgender flags is a good move, but it still doesn't make schools safe for children. They are being run by Marxists who will ruin your kids. I'm not exaggerating. Read this book by @belladabrera. It will scare the hell out of you. amazon.com.au/Mindless-Educa…

Saddened to see reports Royal Commission witnesses are subject to personal abuse and threats. My view is guiding principle for every Australian (of all faiths and none) is we can disagree with our fellow citizens on issues yet still afford them basic dignity in our interactions.

Starmer is eyeing a social media ban for teens tougher than Australia's failed experiment. Yet the same politicians "protecting" children from online harms are flooding classrooms with explicit gender ideology, queer theory & pornographic content under the guise of RSE. Do they really care about protecting children- or is it just about control?
