Death penalty calls from Elon Musk and countless others have rung out as the prosecution rested its case against FedEx driver Tanner Horner for kidnapping and murdering 7-year-old Athena Strand. Jurors had tears in their eyes as the prosecution played the video from the day little Athena was kidnapped and killed. The video was so disturbing that the judge did not allow livestreams and only let people inside the courtroom see it. The video showed Horner bringing Athena into his van and saying, “Don’t scream or I’ll hurt you.” Athena asked questions like, “Why are you doing this?” To which Horner responded, “Because you’re pretty.” In the video, Horner covers the camera lens, but the audio of Athena crying and fighting for her life can be heard. She was brave and strong even in the face of her own end. Athena’s cries were so horrific that legal experts say the defense for Horner has an impossible job ahead of them now. Nothing they can provide will overcome the evidence presented against Horner in the courtroom on Thursday. Athena’s father took the stand too. He was presented with an unopened box of dolls he had purchased for Athena and that Horner had delivered to him. That moment was especially powerful and emotional. Next week, Horner’s defense will try to spare him from the death penalty. (Wfaa8 on YT)

I accepted not receiving my State Pension until I’m 67yrs instead of 60yrs because we were told the country couldn’t afford it, but it grates on me now when they have been able to find the money for unknown people that have rocked up on our shores who have never contributed a single penny. This is wrong & totally unfair.

@GriftReport @TheGriftReport Well technically speaking she did free it. Educational or not it was still a prison of sorts because it is a restrictive environment. I doubt the lobster is upset with her actions. It’s probably very happy back in it’s natural habitat 😁

Animal rights activist Emma Smart, 47, stormed a seafood restaurant in Weymouth, grabbed a live lobster from the tank and “freed” it into the harbour. She was convinced it was about to be boiled for dinner. Turns out the lobster had been a much-loved educational pet at Catch restaurant for two and a half years, used to teach kids about marine life, not on the menu. Staff tried to stop her but she legged it anyway. Now she’s been hit with a three-year restraining order banning her from the restaurant and admitted causing criminal damage. Eco-lunacy at its finest.

When people get in their 50s and 60s and up, do you start thinking about how many years you have left? I’m curious..

I've read about this Gen Z stare and up til now, I'd never encountered it. That was until today. I walked into a local take out shop. 2 cash registers, 2 people ready to take your order. The first girl was busy with customers, so I look at the girl at the 2nd cash. She just stares at me. Her face never moved, she didn't blink, she just stared at me like I was invisible. It was like she didn't know how to acknowledge or give basic social cues. I'm looking at her thinking, usually people behind the counter say hello first as a cue to advance to their wicket. She just stared at me! So I ask: Hi, do you want to take my order? Her: Sure. That's all she initially said. Honestly it was the oddest thing I've ever encountered, it was like she was on auto pilot. Once I started speaking to her, it was like her batteries kicked in and then she smiled became friendly. Has anyone else ever encountered that stare?

‌ Y no eran solo palabras. #TrueCrime #Documentary
