@chrisglover Ford's fuckery is an attempt to ruin our education system. Everything he does, he waters down.
English

The TDSB is the 3rd largest school board in North America.
Currently 25 Trustees making $25,000/yr oversee:
-370,000 students
-40,000 staff
-600 schools
-a $4.1 Billion budget
Ford is cutting down to 12 Trustees and cutting their pay to $10,000/yr
Ford's biggest criticism of trustees—they weren't making cuts fast enough to make up for provincial funding shortfalls.
So he is also appointing a CEO who will make the cuts faster.

@ToddJMcCarthy That may be so Todd, but you lot will ruin it all by privatizing OUR public water to special interests. Those people only care about profit and their shareholders. You are willing to betray the people of this province to enrich the few. Look at the UK's water supply.

Warehouses burnt down, a Molotov thrown at Sam Altman’s house, a politicians home shot at because they supported a data center — a spree of attacks on the ruling class appears to have begun.
Every attacker will now be deemed a terrorist by our government and by the entire ruling class. That’s inevitable.
But what the ruling class desperately doesn’t want you to know is that they made this moment inevitable.
Their greed has made so many people so destitute and desperate that people across America resorting to lashing out was bound to happen.
What the rich and powerful don’t want is for you to look at the underlying causes of these acts.

@ECOWARRIORSS Machines can destroy faster than nature's growth cycle - we are in deep trouble.
English

Ireland’s native trees and hedgerows are vanishing, with native tree cover down to less than 1% and rapidly disappearing —the lowest in Europe.
Roughly 3,000 km of hedgerows are destroyed annually, driven by agricultural expansion and weak protections

@Roman_Baber @MarkJCarney False equivalencies, and we know you are full of shit Roman.

Over 25% of Canadians can't afford food.
But "on a flight from Ottawa to Washington [Mark Carney] spent 11 times more on in-flight meals than what the RCAF spent on fuel."
@MarkJCarney is the modern-day version of Louis XIV.

@roulinski There was a gov't petition circulating about this issue, don't know if it's still active to sign.

No clue, zero respect. These idiots must be shut down. Eco-terrorists should all be jailed.
Ben Norton@BenjaminNorton
Argentina's libertarian US puppet President Javier Milei supports corporate pollution. I'm not exaggerating. He said: "A company pollutes the river. And? Where is the harm? They can pollute all they want! There's enough water. We'll worry about it when there's a shortage".

@briangarrett @Montreal @Toronto Toronto has an interesting music scene, lots of great stuff incubating here.

We need to make Canada the strongest, freest, and most prosperous country on earth. A Conservative government led by @pierrepoilievre will do that.

@SenMikeLee There are some really smart Americans. You are not one of them.

Our withdrawal from NATO would be long overdue.
NATO has run its course. The threats that existed at its inception are no longer relevant 76 years later. Europe has been leaning on American taxpayers for their security for decades, offering too little in return.
That’s why I introduced the Not A Trusted Organization (NATO) Act last year, and why President Trump is right to question American membership today.
Department of State@StateDept
PRESS SEC: It’s quite sad that NATO turned their backs on the American people over the last six weeks when it’s the American people who have been funding their defense. President Trump looks forward to having a very frank and candid conversation with Secretary Rutte.

@NoLieWithBTC A sad day for the country, a madman who knows only how to abuse, terrorize and enable destruction against his own people and country.
