🚨 HOLY SMOKES. President Trump just said Iran's leaders sent him a "present" as part of proving who is really in control The present, related to oil and gas, arrived today, worth a "tremendous amount of money" "They gave us a present, and the present arrived today. It was a very big present, worth a tremendous amount of money." "And I'm not going to tell you what that present is, but it was a very significant prize." "They gave it to us, and they said they were going to give it, so that meant one thing to me — we deal with the right people." "No, it wasn't nuclear-related. It was oil and gas-related, and it was a very nice thing they did." "But what it showed me is that we're dealing with the right people."

Saying “Paul was a Pharisee” is like saying, “Matthew and Zacchaeus were tax collectors.” It’s like saying, “Rahab was a harlot.” Or better yet, it’s like saying, “Paul was a murder of Christians.” It’s all 100% true, but it overlooks the facts that while that’s what they were, it’s also what they repented of when they came to faith. These spiritual goblins haunt the church, associating Paul with the founders of Rabbinic Judaism despite the fact they had him murdered, and had a special hatred for him because he was once among them. Anyone who twists the Scripture to that degree should instantly be checked for signs of demonic possession. It’s as if the Jews who shouted ‘crucify Him’ then, in order to manipulate His followers, began to claim, “You know Jesus was a Jew, right?” Yes. We’re aware. That was their argument to the Roman government to talk them into having him crucified. The equivalent would be a colonial loyalist trying to bolster their anti-war perspective by asking, “You know Washington is British, right?” Right. And that’s beside the point, or actually, that IS the point. That’s why he’s leading the Revolution. When a Jew says, “Jesus was a Jew” or “Paul was a Pharisee” - they are trying to manipulate you. What they won’t claim is the Jesus is God or that Paul was God’s appointed vessel to preach salvation to the Gentiles. Those same Scripture-twisters would be the first to claim that Jesus and Paul are in hell. They want to claim ownership of Christ, while simultaneously rejecting Him. But Jesus wasn’t the Jewish Messiah alone. He is the entire world’s Messiah, so we’re not about to cede ownership of Christ to the people whose alleged ancestors murdered Him.

– San Juan 8:31-59. Escoge: Cristo, o los hijos del diablo.

@gonefishin1948 @SeansGravy Killing the Son of God is no mere sin. See the parable of the wicked tenants of the vineyard in Matthew. Can't you even distinguish between a curse and ordinary guilt? Your theological training leaves much to be desired. God bless and bye.

There are some folks who are not very educated or smart who believe that the Jews were responsible for the Crucifixion. The Church teaches that our sins caused it. Jesus died for our sins.

"All forms of antisemitism are to be unequivocally condemned" sounds correct until you ask which definition of antisemitism is operative. Under the IHRA definition and the US Legal Standard, that statement condemns Jesus Christ, eleven canonized saints, St. Thomas Aquinas, and St. Pius X. The table I posted recently, x.com/SeansGravy/sta…, shows exactly what all forms covers depending on whose definition you use. Cardinal Dolan endorsing this wholeheartedly means two senior American Cardinals have now publicly characterized a lay Catholic's conduct rather than address the doctrinal question she raised or the documentary evidence she produced showing Bishop Barron called her immediately upon receiving her August email and was in shock. A bishop who condemns all forms without defining his terms either does not know what those definitions cover or is leaving himself room to condemn Catholic theological tradition when institutional pressure requires it. Chrysostom observed that few bishops will be saved because the office demands a courage most men do not sustain under pressure. The faithful are watching how this evidence gets answered.

The pastoral instinct is good but the theology is not. Christians, Jews, and Muslims do not worship the same God in different ways. The God of Christianity is Trinitarian. Islam explicitly denies the Trinity and the divine Sonship in the Quran itself. These are not different names for the same conception. They are contradictory conceptions on the most fundamental questions. On Judaism, Christ told the Pharisees directly in John 8:44 that their father is the devil. That is not a racial statement. It is a spiritual one about the consequences of rejecting the truth they had been given. The tradition distinguishes carefully between the religion of the Old Testament, genuine divine revelation fulfilled in Christ, and Rabbinic Judaism as it developed after that rejection. The connection matters historically. The Pharisaic tradition Christ directly criticized in Mark 7, the oral law elevated above the written Torah which He called traditions of men that make void the Word of God, is the precise tradition that became codified as the Mishnah and Talmud after 70 AD. Rabbi Yochanan ben Zakkai reconstituted Jewish authority at Yavneh after the Temple fell and that school produced normative Rabbinic Judaism. Common descent from Abraham is historical not covenantal. Ishmael and Isaac shared a father but not a covenant. Paul makes exactly this argument in Galatians 4. The desire for peace is right. Honest dialogue about real differences is what actually produces it.

Nobody serious assigns personal guilt for the Passion to Jews alive today. That is not the argument. The German analogy cuts both ways. Germany accepts collective historical responsibility, pays reparations, and embeds the events in its national identity. The analogy supports ongoing communal significance rather than dismissing it. The deeper theological point is that Rabbinic Judaism as practiced today is not the ancient Judaism that produced Christianity. It is a post-Temple reconstruction built on the Pharisaic tradition, codified in the Mishnah around 200 AD and developed through the Talmud across subsequent centuries. The religion of Abraham, Moses, and the prophets found its fulfillment in Christ. What reconstituted itself at Yavneh after 70 AD under Rabbi Yochanan ben Zakkai was a distinct religious system built on the oral tradition that Christ directly criticized in Mark 7 as the traditions of men that make void the Word of God. This is not a hostile observation. It is a historical one that Jewish scholars themselves acknowledge. The question of ongoing theological responsibility is therefore not about blaming modern Jews for ancient events. It is about the nature of two different religions and the Church's mission toward the people from whom salvation came.

@gonefishin1948 @SeansGravy Again wrong. Generational curses fall on those who persist in their ancestors' perfidious rejection and hate of the only Messiah, Christ the Logos. It's in the Bible. Father, I'm afraid you have received a neo modernist training.

@SeansGravy I agree. Those Chief Priests and Pharisees are dead and have been judged by God. Blaming today's Jews for that is like blaming today's Germans for WWII.

@yohanisburg @RonSCantor At the very moment Jesus died as the perfect blood sacrifice for all, God severed his relationship with Judaism. God tore downward the Holy of Holies curtain forever leaving the Temple & Jews. God's blood sacrifice & circumcision covenants ended.

Friend, the Jews have rejected their God every step of the way from the wilderness and on. “He came to His own, and His own received Him not.” “I will take the kingdom from you and give it to those who will bear fruit.” There are certainly Jews that believed but the only way to salvation is through Christ and modern day Israel will enter by no other means or program. It’s Jesus or bust.

People say God rejected Israel because a small group of them rejected Jesus 2000 years ago. Have you considered the thousands of Jews who followed him 2000 years ago?
