When did English players start celebrating every turnover, scrum win and penalty? I can’t remember a time when they didn’t do this, but I’m fairly sure they never used to. Is it about getting in the opposition’s heads, or just hyping themselves up - or both? Are they actually instructed to do it?

He plays into it. And I’m pretty sure his own teammates would have been fuming with him after the game. A little embarrassing to carry on like that, only to throw a silly loose pass at the end and then your team loses! He made himself and the rest of the team look like massive tits!
