📣 New publication alert! The ESC–EHRA Atlas of Cardiology has just been published in @EuropaceEiC! 🌍 It provides the most comprehensive overview of cardiac electrophysiology across Europe and beyond — thanks to the contributions of national cardiac societies 🙏 Huge thanks to all who made this possible! 📖 Read here 👉 bit.ly/4fPoIhY @escardio @DanielScherr3

I don’t understand the desire for (right) flutter ablation with large single shot PFA. It’s not as if safe and efficient CTI ablation is an unmet need in EP. Clearly spasm is not innocent, as this data also shows. Reminds me of cryoballoon ablation of the posterior wall which I’ve often compared to trying to open a bottle of wine with a fork: it may be the only tool you have at hand at a given moment trying to achieve a particular goal and sure, it’s doable if you are desperate enough. That doesn’t make it a particularly bright idea though.

Case from today. Patient referred to our center @hospitalposadas for parahisian AP RFA after a failed procedure at another center. The catheter in His position nicely depicts that the pathway is not a true parahisian. Local EGM is just on time with delta offset.

2023 HRS guidelines (G) for AF & 2019 ESC G for SVT suggest the use of ibutilide or procainamide in hemodinamically stable pre-excited AF in WPW How many countries in the world have availability of these drugs? Please, mention your country availability. We need more inclusive G

@EPWaveDoc Discuss anticoagulation as per ESC GL on heart diseases in pregnancy (although these GL mainly focus on prosthetic valves). Consult OB-GYN (likely now and after eCV).

#Epeeps, how would you manage AC in 20 yo female with AF unknown duration, 3 months in pregnancy? Possible AP recurrence. No valve issues, no other RF. ChadsVA 0. She’s currently treated w Atenolol but symptomatic w palpitations. Possibly electrical CV is needed. C her today

have seen a few patients recently well for yrs post AF ablation who undergo LAA occlusion (indications unclear) return with late AF soon after; here's why LAA occlusion -> acute increase in LA pressure: An invasive hemodynamic study - Heart Rhythm heartrhythmjournal.com/article/S1547-…

Small, but relevant study. Thankfully, the authors report ablation strategies (mostly PVI only for PAF, PVI + lots of focal ablation for CAF).

ORBITA-STAR at #EuroPCR is a fascinating & successful study of type of chest pain as a predictor of PCI success. Very difficult to ascertain if angina caused by ischemia is what patients felt. This was a concern of Gruentzig's 40 yrs ago! @rajkumar_chris @rallamee #AngioHistory

@drjohnm The NEJM podcast mentioned this article as well as an accopanying editorial. Iirc, the editorial made the same point as you. Have to admit, though, that I read neither the origibal article bor the editorial.

Huge excitement yesterday about NEJM study on GLP-1a in Parkinson's disease nejm.org/doi/full/10.10… Summary picture looks amazing, right? Here's my ?, as a non-neurologist: The primary endpoint is on 0-132 scale. How would this delta look on an x-axis with that scale?
