@WellOnside Olise was clearly hugely talented then at Palace who were a lower mid table team.
Savinho has had the best goalscorer in EPL history, who is as good in the air as on the ground to feed. Haaland SHOULD inflate Savs stats.
But His final ball and decision making are so so poor
English

Michael Olise moved from Reading to Crystal Palace aged 19.
In the EPL with Palace his first season (age 19/20) consisted of 26 appearances with 2 goals and 5 assists. The next season (age 20/21) was 37 appearances with 2 goals and 11 assists.
So Oliseโs first 2 seasons combined was 63 EPL appearances, 4 goals and 16 assists.
The reason I say this is because I immediately thought of Savinho and all the Tottenham fans mocking his end product, so I had to look a bit deeper.
Savinhoโs first season at City (aged 20/21) consisted of 29 appearances with 1 goal and 8 assists. This season (aged 21/22) is 24 appearances with 1 goal and 1 assist.
So Savinhoโs first 2 seasons combined was 53 EPL appearances, 2 goals and 9 assists.
Olise: 63 / 4 / 16
Savinho: 53 / 2 / 9
People will rightly point out that Savinho is playing in a much better team. But then you look at minutes played, and Olise played more minutes in his second season than Savinho has played in his entire 2 seasons at City. So then you start to look at the quality of minutes, and only 20 of Oliseโs 63 appearance were from the bench. Whereas nearly half of all Savinhoโs appearances (25) have been from the bench.
Olise obviously kicked on in his 3rd season at Palace looked like: 19 appearances with 10 goals and 6 assists. He then got his big move to Bayern Munich.
This season (still aged only 24) he has been sensational. 67 appearances in all competitions, with 28 goals and 27 assists. ๐ฅ
This just makes me wonder, if we were to rewind back to 2023 for a secondโฆ and if Tottenham were rumoured to be looking to sign Michael Olise from Palace at the end of his second seasonโฆ would the Tottenham experts have been kicking off about him being useless and having no end product? ๐ค

@iboboprince336 DX easily. The bloodline have been dragged on and on and is just boring. Sums up WWE in general.

@MikeyHotspurs Just because you tweet this same thing 10 times a day, doesnโt mean it will happen.
If a big club come in for either Van Hecke or Savinho, no way either choose spurs for a relegation battle
English

@xAlexTHFC An over the hill, left back from a bigger club, a winger who canโt beat a man, shoot or cross who couldnโt make it at a big club, and two CBs none of the top 15 clubs in the league want?
Yeah, VERY impressive
English

@goal Really donโt like the red, it just looks wrong. Also the stripes are far to thick. I get that they want to do something a bit different, but red is, and always will be, the colour of Atletico .
English

@secondtierpod He started off well but struggled when results changed. Donโt think he would have took us down, but was always going to be learning on the job, which isnโt easy at one of the Championships big clubs. Needed time and patience from fans and owners to find his feet and build

@FootballFactly He deserves it more than Dembele but for me, Kane surely takes it this year. Heโs been ridiculously good.

@SebOnFootball Please show me proof of this interest? One comment from a big club who are actually interested in him.
Or, more likely, his agent is trying to get him a move away from a struggling team, so is circulating rumours

@RBairner They lost on penaltiesโฆ. Had the coin tosses gone different and the PK been in front of their fans with them kicking second, it could have gone the other way.

Arsenal have spent over โฌ1 billion on this squad and the analysis is: still not good enough.
How can that be acceptable?

Ian Darke@IanDarke
As Declan Rice just said , had Arsenal gone into that game with a cavalier attacking mindset, theyโd have bern wiped out 4-0. The tactics were smart and nearly worked. So yes, Arsenal played well.

@swspurs Big clubs just donโt have time to develop these players like a Palace or Bournemouth do/did.
