The ZCC has once again decided to step out of their troubled positions in the pulpit and into a political arena where they clearly lack the numbers, the logic, and the moral authority to lead.
Their latest statement claiming to represent 3 million citizens against the Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 is not only an inflated delusion of grandeur but a desperate attempt to manufacture a "majority" that simply does not exist. They seem to have forgotten that in the last election, the people spoke decisively when ZANU PF secured a mandate with over 6 million voters. If the ZCC thinks their fabricated 3 million holds weight, they are mathematically challenged. Their entire "reach" is not even a fraction of the millions of Mapostori who are proudly standing as the backbone of this nation and the loudest supporters of #CA3. These old men should stop trying to override the will of the 6 million-strong majority with their minority grievances.

Today, the 13th of April 2026, the Zimbabwe Council of Churches (ZCC) formally submitted its Statement of Inputs to Parliament on the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment Bill No. 3 (2026). The ZCC, representing 32 member denominations with a reach of at least 3 million citizens, opposes the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment Bill No. 3 (2026) because of the potential harm it causes to the nation and the legacy of our current President. The ZCC, acting as a Watchman (Ezekiel 3:17) a role that compels the Church to speak when it sees the nation walking toward harm and after prayerful reflection and stakeholder consultation: Our general recommendations are as follows 1.Withdraw or substantially revise the Bill: The amendments in their current form are constitutionally, morally, and democratically compromised. 2.Establish an Independent Constitution Amendment Commission: Amendments of this nature require a dedicated, independent commission mandated to undertake broad, meaningful consultations rooted in the will of the people, free from the conflict of interest that arises when the institutions advancing the Bill are its direct beneficiaries. 3.If the Bill proceeds in its current form, a national referendum is mandatory: The Bill fundamentally alters the 2013 Constitution and provides for term extensions benefiting current incumbents. This requires direct citizen consent - not parliamentary approval by those who benefit from it. #ConversationsOfHope

Solomon Obona Ezekiel Nigerian man who made himself king of East London has apologised, stating that he is not a king and he did not claim to be a king, however, he introduced himself as a “Chief” meanwhile he apologises.

We should not allow councilors like @DenfordNgadzio1 the councilor for Ward 16 and Chairperson of the Small to Medium Enterprises Committee to go unchecked. An investigation must be conducted into a number of projects he has undertaken. The recent construction of pig-like shops at Mabelreign Shops is quite telling. While the council has done well to remove the dirty menace, Mabelreign Shops deserve to be modernized just like the emerging shops elsewhere. @JMafume @begottensun @matigary
