The MLB free agent market is moving, and it’s been a good market for hitters. Since the winter meetings, Yastrzemski has landed 2/23, Garcia has landed 1/10, Bell has landed 1/7 and Thomas has landed 1/5, among other deals. Austin Hays is probably the best realistic target for the Reds who’d be an every day player in 2026. Other options on the free agent market would fall into the following tiers. Buy low/bounce back: Nathaniel Lowe, Michael Conforto, JJ Bleday Veteran pieces: Paul Goldschmidt, Rhys Hoskins, Starling Marte. (Nick Castellanos?)
