@glenndunks Jamie Lee was very good in The Last Showgirl but her performance here is completely misjudged. Perhaps because she is executive producer no-one had the guts to tell her to tone it down.

@Colvick Stuck in a netherworld of Mare of Easttown prestige and episodic police procedural and has none of the good of either. The casting is insane. Such weird age gaps on every relationship. JLC needs to stop.

Scarpetta is pretty dodgy. Rosy McEwen gives by far the best performance as the young Kay Scarpetta. Nicole Kidman adequate. Jamie Lee Curtis is so OTT it is painful.

What are we thinking of season 2 of The Pitt? It is a bit meh for me. Already starting to feel formulaic and repetitive. A pity the Dr Heather Collins character (Tracy Ifeachor) is gone too. She was a so strong in season one.

@rohan_connolly I think unfortunately Essendon isn’t a destination club for elite players any more. Plus I would add injury management and recovery is an issue too. Players know that other clubs - particularly Brisbane - are much more advanced in this area.

Caught up with Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere and was pleasantly surprised. Had very mixed reviews but I think a lot of that was people expecting a more wide-ranging biopic like Bohemian Rhapsody. This isn’t that. Jeremy Allen White impressive as the Boss.
