@mary_dearest Do everything that makes your 20s great: crazy road trip, a cute impulse buy, go to karaoke with friends, rent a room at a hotel (cause that's a 25 y/o milestone), get a drink (21 milestone), and shop for health insurance cause you get kicked off your parents' at 26. ;(

You want a house? Cool, cool. When are you gonna give up your $1,500 smartphone that you buy the new version of every year or so? When are you cancelling all your subscription services? When are you giving up Uber, and UberEats? When are you going to stop buying a $7 "coffee" every morning, sometimes twice a day or more? When are you going to do without a weeklong (or longer) vacation at least once each year to some exotic locale? When are you gonna sell your brand-new car, buy a beater, and drive it until the wheels fall off instead of trading in every 3-5 years? When are you gonna stop going clubbing every weekend? When are you gonna let go of your $100/week or more booze/weed habit? When are you gonna quit eating out almost exclusively? You're not? You don't really want a house.

When I decided I wouldn’t date guys who watch porn a lot of people said that was unrealistic - especially my guy friends. But I think choosing not to watch porn in today’s society can be a good indicator of character, discipline, and values alignment. It’s a reflection of how they see women and humans in general. And I’ve actually found in many (if not all??) instances when I feel a visceral respect for a guy it just happens to turn out that he doesn’t watch porn. There tends to be something that feels powerful about these guys that men who are watching porn don’t seem to have.

@SBakerMD Yup. Mounjaro saved me, but I had an A1c of 13.1% and was half dead in the hospital. At that point, drugs were the answer. I also went carnivore AND fasted 3 days a week for months at the same time I went on the drug. Lost 150lbs.

@SBakerMD Got Rx for Mounjaro but insurance delay gave me a month. In that time I dropped soda & most carbs. In 5 months: A1C 7.0 → 4.8; BP 150s → 120s; liver normalized (chol a bit up). Down 263 → 220. Daily: coffee + milk + casein x2 dinner = sirloin + 3 eggs Not magic—discipline

Every year Ryan and I host an epic Christmas party. We rent real dishes, decorate beautifully, buy/prep the food, hire helpers to execute dinner, do latin dance performances, print out song books to accompany our christmas carol singalong to an 8-piece live band AND I SWEAR TO GOD THE HARDEST PART IS GETTING PEOPLE TO RSVP ACCURATELY
