100% The invasion by #RussiaIsATerroristState in 2022 (which was forces positioned themselves for during the Zapad 2021 exercises) was allowed to occur (Unlike under similar tensions during the Zapad exercises in both 2017 and 2019) due to concessions and attempts of appeasement by Western allies, and it continues to this day either due to their continuing incompetence and inability to see through the #RussianPropaganda that floods their news and briefing materials (while many in the USG seem to ignore those of us with valuable insight and valid on-the-ground experience), or simply their own interests in not losing the economic boost brought to them through their connection to the billions of euros that flow out of Russia due to the vast corruption of #PutinIsAWarCriminal’s regime. The day in February 2022 when @POTUS and @JakeSullivan46 made clear during @JoeBiden’s televised address that not a single American boot would touch the ground in Ukraine and no intervention would take place unless the war extended into Poland, is the day that @POTUS invited this war to begin, which it did less than 10 days later. The administration’s policy of appeasement and efforts behind the scenes to limit the strategic response of Ukraine, have in the end cost the lives of tens, in not hundreds, of thousands of Ukrainian civilians.

Sens. Shaheen and Tillis introduced bipartisan legislation which would require POTUS to impose sanctions and visa bans on officials who block or delay assistance to Ukraine through US, European or NATO channels while continuing Hungary’s reliance on Russian oil and gas 2/3

This line again. 🙄 Maybe if the US hadn’t pushed Ukraine to give up its nuclear weapons to russia and hadn’t signed the Budapest Memorandum, then sure — US could pretend it had no obligation. But US did. Ukraine gave up the third-largest nuclear arsenal in the world for “security assurances.”

The proposal comes amid reports that Hungarian officials have shared confidential EU deliberations with Moscow and concerns about Russian efforts to influence Hungary’s elections. Shaheen said Hungary’s continued payments for Russian energy have helped sustain Vladimir Putin’s war effort, while Tillis said the bill underscores the need for unity among allies in cutting off revenue streams that support Moscow. The legislation includes provisions allowing sanctions to be lifted if Hungary adopts a credible plan to phase out Russian energy dependence and refrains from obstructing Ukraine assistance for at least 180 days. It also requires the State and Treasury departments to report to Congress on any exemptions granted. The bill reflects growing concern among U.S. lawmakers about divisions within Western alliances as the war in Ukraine continues. For more 👇 foreign.senate.gov/press/dem/rele…

Russia's objective of depopulating Ukrainian cities of Ukrainians is a clear cut case of genocide. NATO and EU nations are allowing this ongoing Russian genocide of Ukrainians to continue under the demented illusion that it will make them safer from Russia's aggressive ambitions.

Kherson is turning into a ghost city under constant russian “human safari.” Even empty streets don’t stop them — they deliberately send drones into residential buildings. Then they brag about it on their channels. This is what a state of killers and maniacs looks like.

Four years into the war, Ukraine is formally terminating 116 treaties with Russia, Belarus, and the CIS – the last legal remnants of a relationship that ended in 2022. Sybiha calls it "complex and systematic." The legal cleanup is finally complete. euromaidanpress.com/2026/03/26/ukr…

"Hour by hour, the fire spread through the space between the arch’s inner and outer layer, which was designed to keep a hermetic seal. Four days after the strike, it was completely ablaze. Worse, the fire had spread deep into an interior membrane made of polymers and other materials — wrapped all around the arch — that firefighters could not reach. There was only one way to fight the fire, and it involved cutting even more holes in the arch." ... Read this terrifying and well presented @FT story about the hole punched in Chornobyl's rooftop by a Russian drone that the @EBRD says will cost €500 to fix. via @JohnReedwrites @samjoiner and Henry Esterson ft.com/content/c0f1ff…

Listen, if you’re tired of the diplomatic fluff and want someone to actually call out the chaos, you need to hear this. Claude Malhuret just went absolutely scorched-earth in the French Senate, and frankly, it’s a masterclass in truth-telling. He doesn't hold back on the "madmen" wrecking the global order—slamming putin for his relentless, bloody ego-trip in Ukraine and dragging Trump’s new "circus" of a cabinet for treating foreign policy like a private piggy bank. Malhuret is basically the only adult left in the room, cutting through the MAGA noise and the Kremlin’s lies with the kind of sharp, witty clarity we desperately need right now. It’s brutal, it’s honest, and it’s a total must-watch. Speech by Claude Malhuret regarding the situation in the Near and Middle East: "Mr. President, Mr. Prime Minister, ladies and gentlemen of the Cabinet, in February 2022, a dangerous madman drunk on grandeur lit a fuse in Ukraine that blew up a powder keg and disrupted the world order. The war was supposed to last a week. It is now entering its fifth year. In February 2026, another dangerous madman lit another fuse in the Near East that once again threatens international balance. Was that war also supposed to last a week? One month later, the whole world is asking: 'What is going to happen?' The simple, short, and precise answer is this: God only knows. A year ago in this very place, I compared the Trump presidency to the court of Nero. I was wrong; it is a 'Court of Miracles.' An anti-vax former heroin addict as Secretary of Health; a climate skeptic as Secretary of Econology; an alcoholic TV host as Secretary of Defense; a former agent of Qatar as Attorney General; a putin groupie as National Security Advisor. A Turkish proverb says: 'When a clown moves into a palace, he doesn't become a king; the palace becomes a circus.' This 'fine team' decided to create a competitor to the UN. Since his Peace Council has existed, Trump has launched more military strikes than Biden did during his entire term. Every time an internal scandal resurfaces, bombs explode somewhere in the world as a diversion. Bomb more to gain more. There isn't a country where Trump hasn't taken advantage of the situation to enrich himself, never forgetting his family: a private Boeing gifted by Qatar, investments in all Gulf projects or elsewhere, manipulation of stock market prices benefiting a few insiders. A single one of these conflicts of interest would have triggered an immediate impeachment procedure here, but we are not here—we are in MAGA America: the conduct of public affairs at the service of private interests. After the customs duties, Greenland, the abandonment of Ukraine, the humiliation of allies, the ineffective back-and-forth in Venezuela and so many others, a new senseless adventure begins. Let me be clearly understood: I am the last to complain about the decapitation of the Mullahs' regime and the first to demand freedom for the Iranian people. But what is the strategy to achieve it? And have the collateral damages, including for the Iranians, been measured? The answer is: there is no strategy, and collateral damages are written off as losses. Just as in January, when Trump called on Iranians to take to the streets, only to leave them to be massacred by the Basij. After the pretext of an 'imminent' Iranian atomic bomb—contradicted by the Director of American Intelligence herself—and then the argument for regime change, it is Marco Rubio who finally let the cat out of the bag: we went in because we followed Netanyahu. In other words, we have no objective of our own. Trump ignored the warnings of the few who had the courage to tell him what would obviously happen: the blocking of the Strait of Hormuz, the extension of the war to the entire Near East, and finally the global repercussions. 1/3

Ukraine is America's war because it is the US that forced Ukraine to dispose of its nuclear deterrent in 1990s in exchange for fake "security guarantees." US engaged in economic & political coercion against Ukraine, which would've bankrupted Ukraine had they not complied. This is why this language appears in the Budapest Memorandum:

SECRETARY RUBIO: The U.S. is constantly asked to help in wars and we have. But when we had a need, it didn’t get positive responses from NATO. A couple leaders said that Iran was not Europe’s war. Well, Ukraine isn’t our war, yet we’ve contributed more to that fight than anyone.
