Excited to share my new series - #UIMath I'm going to show & explain the math that makes #userinterface work! 😄 We're starting off with LERP and how to use it to calculate progress bars. In the future we'll get to more complex stuff. What would you like me to cover next? ⚙➗

#Hasoub is an NGO paving the way for the next generation of Arabs in #tech & we were so proud to sponsor their 2021 conference, “The Change from Within”. Our @OpherV shared how junior #devs can lift themselves & kickstart their careers in his talk “Go out there and Rock🤟”

Video is everywhere, but our CTO @hofshy has a face for radio, so he went on @barvazg to talk about how we’re making it just as fun and interactive as other interfaces. An interesting discussion (in Hebrew) about tech and the people who make it happen. open.spotify.com/episode/741O5R…

Most importantly, keep your old dev PC around at least for a couple of weeks before turning it back in. There’s bound to be something else you’ll need from it (even if it’s just a sense of nostalgia).

Downloads folder: 99% of it is email attachments, memes, executables, old drivers, and other assorted, unsorted trash. The other 1% is probably important and let’s be honest, you’re never going to sort it anyhow, so might as well migrate all of your junk with you now.

Switching to a new laptop? Maybe a fancy MacBook Pro M1 Max from work? We got you covered. Here's all the stuff every developer needs to copy over but always forgets to: (Courtesy of @opherv who opted for a @Razer Blade instead of the Mac since he likes his win key to be toasty)

Ok, so we have to wonder - the IT that has to maintain all these computer systems...are they a ⬜, 🔺 or a ⭕? How do the staff even open support requests if they can't talk to each other? Do they have a Squid Slack?

@vaidehijoshi We don't do that at all as a principle when we interview. If both candidate & interviewer can just google/memorize an answer, then it's just an empty ritual that doesn't predict whether someone's a good dev. def not useful for screening & frankly a bad use of both's precious time

idk why any of us are still asking candidates to whiteboard algorithms in technical interviews when everyone knows the hardest part of software engineering is resolving a gnarly merge conflict
