Trump Says "Deal," Iran Says "Nope," Markets Say "Please Make It Stop!" #Stocks lurched through another chaotic week as the White House and Tehran delivered dueling narratives about whether peace talks are even happening, let alone progressing. President Trump opened the week insisting the U.S. was “very intent on making a deal,” only to follow up days later with fresh threats that Iran “better get serious soon,” while Iranian state media repeatedly denied that negotiations were underway at all. The result was a whipsaw in sentiment: the #StockMarket surged on Monday’s fleeting hopes for a truce, then reversed sharply as mixed messages, rising tensions, and a fresh supply shock sent Brent crude above $111 after Chinese vessels were turned away from the Strait of Hormuz. Not sure why there’s an obsession with liquidations by so many in crypto. Yes, longs are liquidated when the price goes down and shorts are liquidated when the price goes up; that’s fundamental market dynamics. There aren’t dozens of accounts posting how much liquidation there is whenever the equity or bond markets move. Why the focus on basic mechanics in Bitcoin and crypto? (Serious question here from someone who’s been in markets since 1998)

Why I Added to the China Internet ETF (KWEB) Today... The #ChinaInternetETF (#KWEB) tested support on Thursday and triggered my next buy order which added 12.09% to my position at $28.26. The buy locked in a -19.76% discount replacing shares I sold for $35.22 on July 15, 2025 and raised my per-share cost +6.86% from $22.02 to $23.53. Despite the ongoing tensions between the U.S. and China, there is no doubt that China's economy will continue to grow into the future and its #TechnologySector will, in turn, continue to develop over time, too. As a result, I use the volatility in the space to trim and add at key levels. From here, my next buy target is $24.64, near a level of support the $KWEB tested in August 2024. My next sell target is $42.52, under the high KWEB made in October 2025.

Why I Took Profits in the Fidelity Energy ETF (FENY) Today... When the market rolled over on Tuesday, the #EnergySector returned to making new all-time highs. As a result, the energy exposure in my Dumb Money Portfolio through Fidelity’s Energy ETF (#FENY) needed to be trimmed once more with a sale which went through at $33.33. The sale locked in +50.41% in gains selling 1.73% of my position and lowered my cost basis -0.90% from $22.16 to $21.96. Just as with the other sales I’ve made in $FENY over the past few weeks, I am leaving the position overweight even after the sale. After Tuesday’s sale, energy is still 23.559% of the portfolio where its target allocation size is 22.125%. If energy continues to break out, I will continue to reduce exposure in order to keep my allocation a bit more in-line while also capitalizing on the ongoing volatility in the energy sector.

To be honest, I'd been interested in the rare earths space but hadn't thought about it very much until I saw you posting about $USAR. That inspired me to do a bit of due diligence into USA Rare Earth and realized I definitely wanted to add it into the speculative portfolio. Now, you've done it to me again! I really like $CRML's smaller market cap because its likely to have bigger upside gains. I wish it was U.S.-based only for the potential volatility spikes we get when the government decides to invest, but I do like it. Are these your two top favorites or are there others I should take a deeper look at?

Why I Opened a Position in USA Rare Earth (USAR) Today... Given the nature of my Speculation in Play portfolio being, well, highly speculative, I've been eyeing the rare earth sector for some time. Thanks to @SayNoToTrading, I started watching #USARareEarth (#USAR), an extremely volatile play thanks to the U.S. government's support, however I'd been waiting for it to retest its 200-Day EMA before opening a position, which it did on Friday. Given how volatile this stock is, I started with a smaller-than-normal buy, opening my position with only a 22.13% allocation at $17.20. From here, my next buy target is $14.00, a level of support $USAR has tested many times in the past, and my next sell target is $29.60, just under a point of resistance USA Rare Earth last saw a few months ago in January.

Bitcoin crashed in 2022 when we experienced the highest inflation in decades. Inflation is back in a big way just this week, and where is Bitcoin trading? The same price it was more than 4 years ago. How, exactly, is that a “check on inflation?” 🤔 Don’t get me wrong - I’ve been long Bitcoin for nearly a decade; I just don’t understand constantly describing Bitcoin in ways its price action clearly rejects: 1. Bitcoin is NOT a hedge/check against inflation. 2. Bitcoin is NOT a safe haven asset. … at least, not YET. 😉 👍

🔥BULLISH: Brian Armstrong says Bitcoin acts as a check on inflation, with capital flowing into $BTC during excessive spending while reinforcing dollar dominance through competition.

@MSBIntel Is $NVDA covering the token cost or is Huang expecting employees to spend half of their own salaries on AI tokens? 🤔

Nvidia CEO, Jensen Huang, just said on All-In that if a $500,000 Nvidia engineer only spent $5,000 on AI tokens, he'd "go ape. His rule: $250K in tokens per year. Half your salary. On top of it. 75,000 humans. 7.5 million AI agents. 100 per employee. $NVDA

Why I Added to DeFi Technologies (DEFT) Today... Just like #BTQTechnologies (#BTQ) getting taken to the woodshed, so did #DeFi Technologies (#DEFT), another @EricJackson #100bagger, which broke through support to $0.56, triggering my buy order along the way which added 2.12% to the position at $0.61. The buy order lowered my per-share cost -2.86% from $1.40 to $1.36 because it was a relatively small buy seeing as how I already added at $0.76 back in December. Just like #BTQ, I'm prepared to lose every penny I invest in $DEFT so I already know my maximum risk when I plan to add in size at $0.31, a price above past support levels as well as a Fibonacci Retracement level. I will also start trimming when/if DeFi makes it above my new cost basis with my first sell target at $1.58, slightly above my new cost basis and below a level of resistance DEFT last encountered in November 2025. DEFT closed the week at $0.5161, down -15.39% from where I added.

Why I Added to BTQ Technologies (BTQ) Today... When the market selloff really started to get into the swing of things at the end of Friday's trading, the traders came for the most speculative stocks which includes all of @EricJackson's famed #100baggers. In my Speculation in Play portfolio, #BTQTechnologies (#BTQ) was first to trigger a buy order, adding 8.07% to my position at $2.32 which lowered my per-share cost -10.81% from $5.55 to $4.95. I know the maximum risk I intend to take for all of my positions but this is doubly true for the crazy speculative ones in my Speculation in Play portfolio. Accordingly, the market cannot shake me out of them. My next buy target in $BTQ is $1.05, well below its all-time low above a Fibonacci level as well as the round-number psychological support offered by the $1.00 mark. My next sell target is  $6.98, just under a point of resistance BTQ has contended with several times in the past. BTQ closed the week at $2.36, up +1.72% from where I added.

Fed Holds, Prices Spike, Markets Break: Another Wild Week A volatile mix of geopolitical shifts and stubborn inflation kept #investors on edge this week as #stocks struggled to find direction. Oil prices briefly eased after the U.S. allowed Iranian tankers safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, offering a momentary lift to the #StockMarket before hotter‑than‑expected producer inflation reignited recession fears. However, by mid‑week, the Federal Reserve held rates steady while warning that the Iran War’s economic fallout remains “uncertain,” which provided a one‑two punch that sent the major indexes sliding deeper into the red. Why I Added to Genius Sports (GENI) Today... After making an acquisition investors clearly don't like, #GeniusSports (#GENI) just can't catch a break, as the stock continued to break down further since the start of Iran War. On Friday, $GENI finally triggered my next buy order which added 7.97% to my position at $4.63 with the buy lowering my per-share cost -5.19% from $6.75 to $6.40. From here, my next buy target is $3.16, below the next real level of support but at a level Genius last tested in December 2022. My next sell target is $8.56, below a level of resistance GENI saw less than a month ago in February.
