@MickyMarinelli I tend to think it's laziness or lack of creativity, but I agree it comes across badly.

I have a negative bias toward emails that start with 'I hope this email finds you well.' It feels like unnecessary filler—contrived and disingenuous, as though the sender is feigning interest in my well-being as a mere formality. It rubs me the wrong way - almost as much as starting with "great talk" when someone has a question at the end of a seminar. I am getting old - a curmudgeon—or maybe I just have a finely tuned radar for fluff and insincerity. Or both
