the world if they kept asuka d1+2 damage nerf and f2 flip vortex gone, nerfed her ridiculous frames on install moves like wr1+2 and uf1,2 but still kept d1+2 into f2 as a usable move in a 200hp game

Accepting Tekken 8 for what it is and how it will never be a traditional Tekken helps a lot Been having fun with my brother as a party game, might even try ranked for giggles — but I don't blame pro players for quitting

What problems in Tekken 8 are bigger than Heat Bursts? Heat Bursts create multiple issues, which is why they either need to be removed or nerfed heavily so they’re no longer an easy, low-risk way to enter heat. Heat Bursts make wall carry and combo damage excessive. Even SATs become stronger because of how easily Heat extends combos. Heat Bursts give easy access to heat. They’re fast, safe on block, and hard to space. Even if you step and punish a whiff, the opponent still benefits. They enter heat, HP restructures, and the timer pauses while they’re being comboed. Heat Burst rewards you for not wanting to play Tekken. You just press 2+3 and get a busted version of your character. Is that good design? Heat Burst indirectly justifies Tekken 8’s design philosophy. The game promotes braindead aggression, and then uses Heat Burst and Rage Arts to counterbalance it. So now you’re relying on two comeback mechanics to hold the system together. That’s not real balance. There’s also a bigger issue with how round time, combo damage, and pokes interact. 200 HP with Heat Burst devalues poking. 180 HP with Heat Burst makes combos too strong. 180 HP without Heat Burst gives pokes more value and naturally reduces combo length and damage, which creates a more interactive game. If you want even more interaction, then SATs should also be removed. I agree with that. Increasing round time isn’t a real solution. It’s impractical and creates major problems for tournament play.

@kushan019 I wouldn't be opposed to heat burst being removed, but i think there are bigger fish to fry But going back to 180hp would be a step back imo, i love more hp and have way more interactions, in fact i'd love to see even less combo damage We need more time in the matches tho
