@BigMoSeider @GrindLinePod It’s also a black and white question…if someone asked you in 2019 if it would be a failure to not make the playoffs in 2026 (year 7 of the yzerplan) you would have said yes. That’s has been the benchmark for the last three years.

@l_blochkos They are losing fairweather fans, and that's ok. It's a process. They have come far, but they have a bit to go to be a contender.

@GrindLinePod Absolutely not. Everyone should be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel now. We have a good team and the cap space/prospect pool to bring in the an elite player or two with tenure when they become available. The Yzerplan is on track.

@GrindLinePod This is so sad. The Red Wings have been so bad for so long the fans are excited about just making the playoffs. Shouldn’t we set our expectations higher, like a Stanley Cup not just a damn playoff appearance? Step it up fans!!!! Hold them accountable!!

@ProfessorLGRW We are not begging for them to miss. Quite the opposite. And I'm just doing a poll for the next episode to show how whiny people are being and who is ok with ignoring the actual progress of the team in favor of putting all the eggs in the "Making the playoffs" basket.

It is not. It is just like 97.1 framing things like we are on the outside looking in AFTER a systemic breakdown (that you're all begging for) that hasn't happened. We, this entire time since early december, I believe 103 consecutive days, have held AND not given up a playoff spot. Anybody interested in the last time we had a playoff spot locked down for over 100 days? Or are we all more interested in what POTENTIALLY our problem will be if we POTENTIALLY do what everyone is begging for? We don't need market research for this.

@rsandersr47 Normally I'd agree, however this division and conference are so close and crazy that you had to to keep up. And we didn't know our top 2 centrs would get hurt while our other center in GR was hurt right after the deadline.

@GrindLinePod If you trade away your 1st rd. Pick and miss it's a failure imo. I just don't feel you trade firsts until you're a contender, you don't trade them just to MAKE it. You certainly don't trade them and miss.

A few observations after last night's Wings win over Montreal: - John Gibson is dialed in. He wants the playoffs maybe more than anyone on this team, after being given a second shot at starter. - JT Compher has been one of the best players on the ice the last 2 games, minus the faceoff. - The team stood up for each other last night, and that goes a long way. Too often have they been pushed around. Last night they said, "not anymore." - It's going to be a hell of a run to the finish, but at the end of the day, no matter what happens, this team has gone above and beyond expectations and is far improved. #LGRW #RedWings
