So here’s what I want to try a hacky vibe coded community test (after we pass with flying colors this evening 🤞): 1⃣ stud owner (<24h before window) lists with main (aka reserve) price like now. Optionally sets a Dutch starting price alongside. 2⃣ mare owner can set up ALL their breeds, on the site, you actually queue it up with the price you are willing to pay (max, or lower than max) and we store it in the db 3⃣ 1 min before breeding window opens, we execute all the queued breeds. In contention cases (ie 19+ bids at max), it’s random who gets in. This takes major pressure off server (and also you the players) trying frantically to get in. 4⃣ Woah, hypothetically all your breeds could actually be done, without you having to even be online! 5⃣ As the breeding window opens, smash away. for any studs with a Dutch starting price, they start counting down to their reserve, say every 4h they drop 5%, lasts ~3 days So, mare owner that doesn’t want to babysit can just set up every breed ahead of time Mare owner that DOES want to babysit can ride the lightning and try to wait it out for good deals, battling their internal fomo demons for say 72 hrs. After 72 hrs OR for studs that didnt elect Dutch starting price, everything is normal. UX changes are very minimal, one change being you can hit “BREED” 24h before the window opens (which queues it for you) and second change is optionally setting a lower cost than the current cost if it’s a Dutch one, and third change is a timer / progress bar running on the Dutch listings that are in the first 72h and not yet sold out. So anyway a) pick it apart and b) lets prototype it and do it with google sheets or something
