After $RIVN announces a partnership with $UBER, you’ve got $TSLA fanboys suddenly doing “unit economics” and “competition” deep dives like Tesla is already running a profitable, scaled robotaxi network globally. The irony is rich. Then the bot accounts spam charts about legacy OEMs “scaling back EV,” as if that’s some bullish masterplan. It mostly signals they’re struggling with margins, supply chains, and speed. Outside the US, Chinese EV makers are eating their lunch, and legacy is playing defense trying to buy time. Nobody is calling $F or $GM cutting-edge disruptors. They’re trying to survive long enough to not get left behind. EV adoption is not an “if,” it’s a timeline. And robotaxi is also a “when,” especially in dense metro markets where cost-per-mile and convenience win. This isn’t Tesla vs Rivian. It’s about vision and incentives. If you want to make money trading/investing, you can’t ignore the direction of travel just because you’re emotionally attached to one ticker. Catch the trend early, or you’ll end up arguing details after the market has already repriced it.
