My boyfriend just asked me to split a $400 bill. For HIS mother's birthday dinner. That HE planned. At a restaurant HE chose. That I didn't even want to go to. I need someone to tell me if I'm crazy or if this is the most disrespectful thing I've ever experienced. Let me explain what happened. Last week, my boyfriend comes to me and says, "My mom's birthday is this Saturday. I'm taking her to dinner at [this fancy steakhouse]. You should come." I said, "Oh, okay cool. What time?" ---

My friend's wedding, which was supposed to take place in April, was called off yesterday. Her man found out that she had visited her ex-boyfriend after their engagement, She said it was just a friendly visit. Honestly, I think a lot of men need to realize that not every ex is a red flag. Just because she visited her ex doesn't mean something shady is going on— not all breakups end in bitterness. If you are planning to marry someone, trust should alreadv be there!
